[As for Masaomi's time in his cell... well. He's trying to make some noise just to remind himself he's not dead. It's relatively dark, and while he doesn't recall the experiments he's done out of it - or indeed gotten a good look at any guards - he is in here, tapping repeatedly on the walls with his knuckles. One two three, one two three.

No one has been in his cell with him most of the time. But that's free to change and there might be people near or around him]

[Keimi winces from the sound of the tapping, it stirring her from her sleep. She looked around. This cage. Still. It's been nearly a week since she was first taken here. The shock and depression slowly fading, she decides to investigate the noise in the next cell.]

H-hello...?

[Still tapping. He thought he heard a voice so he stops for a few seconds but... nope, tapping again]

[Oh. Maybe no one was there after all.]

...I must be imagining things.

[There it is again.]

Ah?

[She blinks, squirming up against the side of her cell.]

Hello...?

[ . . . Oh there is someone. He stops knocking]

[She blinks.]

So someone is there! Nice to know I'm not alone in here...

Ah. I guess you aren't.

You guess? Are you not really here or something?

D-did I go crazy? [Gasp!] The Moss-o's made me crazy, didn't they?

[He blinks. Wow, whoever this is, they're energetic]

...No? I'm here.

[At some point, Masaomi may hear a door open, followed by some metallic footsteps - a pair of droids escorting someone to a cell.]

Do you ever get pissed that the Malnosso didn't give you guys better faces? [The droids are silent, of course.] Don't know how often you get to see a mirror, but you look like morons. Kinda like if someone made a mold of your face but got lazy, and decided to stretch a balloon over your head instead of finishing it.

[The footsteps will get louder, drawing closer to the cell Masaomi is in.]

[That's... Shikamaru-kun? he perks up, interested in spite of himself and scooting up closer towards the bars of his cell, wanting to hear more]

Huuuh. Guess they forgot vocal chords too.

[The look on Shikamaru's face is a disinterested one, but that soon changes when they stop in front of Masaomi's cell. Looks like you're getting a roommate.]

[He scoots back - mostly out of concern for what'll happen to him or the ninja if he tries to fight right now, and also to make space for the guy to be dropped off]

[Shikamaru's grateful for that, for a couple reasons. One is that he knows what's coming next, once the cell door opens: a hard shove inside that, with his hands bound like they are, would probably have his face hitting the floor if he didn't turn it into a somersault.

He glances over at Masaomi as he steadies himself before turning his head to look back at the droids. The door is shut by that point, one droid lingering just long enough to lock up before both walk away. Shikamaru doesn't say anything just yet, watching them go instead.]
