[Thankfully, Luke had heard from word of mouth that Elicia was having a birthday, and so he managed to find a gift and make it here right on time. Of course, as soon as he walked in his clothes changed into something like this. Fitting, considering his status, but... He makes a face as he pulls at the chest area. It's too tight...

In one hand, however, is a nice box. There's some shiny pink wrapping paper around it... but the wrapping job isn't good at all. Luke isn't very good at doing things like that, as he isn't very precise and doesn't care if the paper gets bent. Elicia's just going to tear it all off anyway, right?

He spots Elicia scuttling around, though, and with one last tug at his collar, he smiles and calls out to her.]

You're looking pretty fancy over there, Elicia!

[asobouyo]

[WHY HELLO THERE LUKE, excuse her while she runs over to see you.]

You're wearing fancy stuff, too! Did you see?? They gave me a big castle to have my birthday in!!

It's kind of hard not to see it!

[He shakes one of his hands, because those cuffs at his wrists are really starting to bother him. As he does that, though, he holds out her gift to her, and little blush comes over his cheeks. Although this isn't the first time he's given a gift to someone, he still isn't very used to it, so he can't help being slightly flustered over it.]

You're a pretty lucky girl, you know that?

[She nods with the dorkiest grin on her face. That's a definite yes. |D]

Can I unwrap it right now? Can I, Mr. Luke?

Y-Yeah, of course!

[Luke isn't sure if he can take all the waiting, anyway. Once Elicia unwraps the hideous wrapping job and opens the box, she'll find a black horse doll inside, soft and fuzzy and ready for a new owner.]

That's Asch. You remember him? You take good care of him, okay?

[... Saying that makes Luke want to die just a little, and he has to turn his head away to hide the huge grin on his face. Aaaahaha Asch... good thing his original isn't here to skewer him for it.]

[OHMIGOSH~]

You got me Asch the pony?! [Time for pony hugging! ;u;

I'll take really good care of him! I'll brush his mane and he can sit with my other animals, too! I got a polar bear that he'll probably like lots!

[There's a snicker in Luke's throat that he has to hold back from all that. He honestly didn't mean for this to be funny - rather, he thought it'd be sweet. But now that she's talking about brushing Asch's mane and letting him sit with the other animals and making friends with a polar bear...

Gaaah, calm down, Luke. Don't see the humor in this! He shakes his head, though he really can't hide the grin as he knees down and gives the pony a poke.]

He'll make friends with all of the other animals, too! As long as he gets to help his princess.

I'll let him! He can watch my closet so none of the monsters'll ever be able to come out, 'cause they'll be too scared of Asch!

But Luke doesn't feel any sort of danger, so he looks over his shoulder at the man and smiles. He knows him, sort of: He would've been his grandfather in-law in that fake life of his...]

I didn't want to miss it. She's six now, right?

That's right! Time's really flown since she first got here.

[He's quiet for a few seconds. She's six years old, huh... And in actuality, she's only a year younger than he is.

It's bizarre to think of it that way. He never feels his actual age... But he'll keep talking, to keep the subject off of himself.]

How old was she when she got here? I don't think I was here...

Five. She actually arrived not too long after her birthday would have been celebrated last year, so it's come a bit full-circle.
