[ What a time to wake up in a forest with an aching back, a terrible dress, and just no idea how this situation happened. Not that Mimi is allowed much time to sort that out, either.

For the present, the young girl just tries her best to run from one situation to the next, though some monsters like to stay hot on her trail. At least she's used to running around the woods, but this is getting crazy, especially without any one to back her up. Which was worrying in itself, but there was no time to even think about that --

Pant. Pant. Pant.

[Hey there, Mimi. You want someone to back you up? How about a fan-wielding ninja swooping out of the forest to send whatever monster is chasing you with a flying kick? Because that's what Suki's doing right now.]

Though she's still a bit freaked out, yanno, situation and. Yes.]

[Suki makes sure that the creature isn't going to jump back out of the bushes - weird, it seems to have disappeared entirely - before she turns to face the girl.]

Don't worry about it. [Hey there, white dress. That's familiar.] Let me guess, you just woke up in the woods like that?

You got it. [Tired sigh.] It hasn't exactly been a picnic out here for a girl like me either. Are you some kind of special digimon warrior?

Digimon warrior? [What an odd way of phrasing things.] I don't know about "Digimon", but I am a Kyoshi Warrior. My name's Suki.

Suki glances in the direction of the village plaza, then gestures for Mimi to follow her.] Come on, follow me. I can explain while we walk, but we should get you out of the forest first.

[Hmm. If she didn't recognize the name--maybe better to shut up about that now. Instead she nods.]

My head still feels kinda funny, so I know I must have missed something big. [Since her last memory isn't particularly pleasant, either. She frowns a little, but nods as she moves to follow.] O-okay.

[Suki starts to lead her towards the Welcome Center, then pauses, glancing back.] Hang on, do you have a journal with you? I mean, did you see one with your name on it when you woke up?

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing something like that! ... but I sort of threw it at one of the monsters and kept running.

Ah... that's alright, it'll show up again. Sometimes it's easier if someone just explains it directly. Did you notice your wings?

[She stares at her, that confusion still present, before cautiously reaching back and ... feathers? So that explained why she was so sore.

W-wings? [She looks back at Suki, to see if she has any of the same.] I don't -- what is this?

[...Ahaha. Yeah, that'd be a no. Suki points to her own back, shaking her head.]

Everyone who is brought here gets a pair. We don't know how or why, but be careful with them, okay? Hurting them makes you really sick.

[To say the least. But she doesn't want to scare the girl horribly right from the get-go, so... baby steps.]

So that's why my back hurt before... [Wait. Wings, bird... wait, wasn't the bird thing Sora's thing? But there were angels too, and -- nevermind all of that.]

Does this mean I can fly?
