[Given the way things had been going over the past month, it was a little nice to have a distraction like this on the last official day of the school year. Last year she had missed the last few days, but this time those days were spent making sure every last assignment had been properly graded and returned to those who were still attending. Mm! The school functions surprisingly well for not having a stable student population and days.

[Gelda is a bit disappointed that school had ended for the year. It leaves a very large gap of free time in her weekdays and she still hasn't decided what else to spend it on. Perhaps she could get an early start on lesson plans for next year. And she could only hope that students might be tempted to sign up for some additional summer tutoring.
