[Someone might need to help Giles find his room, first - why do you people insist on text? But he'll go willingly with the droids, for once - his main goal is to stick close to Helios and Frederic, although who knows how well that will work in the crowds?

Once he finds his room, Giles will request the last of the gear he's still missing. Then weapons - a crossbow, a Glock pistol, plenty of ammunition, and a buckler shield. His truth sword, he brought with him. Then he'll request a certain spellbook, and smiles grimly when it turns up on his bed.

Last but not least? A record player and a good selection - something to help him settle down before they're called out. He'll leave the door cracked for anyone who wants to stop by, and later on might try finding his friends.]

[Blink. Hey, it's a familiar voice, at least. Giles glances over his shoulder at the boy.]

[Jay notices Giles' awkward looks.]

You look a little lost.

[If Jay gets a bit nearer, he might notice the reason why - Giles' eyes still don't look right up close.] Yes, I imagine I do.

[But now he sees the vacancy of Giles' expression.]

[Frederic finds Giles' room and knocks lightly on the slightly opened door to let his friend know he's there.]

It's me Giles, may I come in?

[Frederic will find Giles sharpening his sword on the floor. He flinches slightly at the sound of Frederic's voice, but for everyone but Buffy that's gotten to be his habitual reaction at being approached by now.]

Frederic, hello. Yes, come in.

[He can see his friend flinch and frowns a little, but he enters and sits down next to him on the floor.]

Hello to you as well, friend. [He watches Giles for a moment then looks down at the saber he has tied to his belt.] Would you be able to sharpen a sword for me after you're finished? I'm afraid I'm not an expert at them.

[Giles looks up when he hears Frederic sit down, and nods.]

Of course. Pass it over.

[He pulls the saber from its sheath carefully and hands it to Giles also very carefully.] Thank you Giles, all I ask is that you please be extra careful with this saber. It was...given to me by Feliks and I don't want to see anything happen to it.

[Giles pauses at his friend's words, and then sets his own sword aside and takes the saber very carefully.]

Of course.

[He runs a thumb lightly over the flat of the blade, tests the edge, then brings the whetstone to it.]

Have you seen McCoy yet, then?

I went by the clinic before we left, but Doctor Faye-Ling was there instead of Doctor McCoy. She...knows about my medical troubles and even helped me with the diet I've been on, so I trusted her to give me a checkup.

Probably better than McCoy, then. Now isn't the time to be trying anything new.

That's true, although I did not see Doctor Faye-Ling's name on the list and...I'm a little worried about if something happens to me.
