Rating: Pft, it's just dinner. Nothing worth warning about.
So, the household was having a guest over for dinner. Two guests, actually. Rydia of course gave adequate warning, since she wanted a nice, big meal for them all and plenty of help to go with it. Kain, of course, was still banned from anything to do with the kitchen, but she tasked him with the job of hunting down food for their dragon guest. That ought to keep him busy for a while, at least. As for Rydia, she decided on a pot roast (beef, to appease Ceodore), mashed potatoes, a large garden salad, fresh fruit and sweet tea. She held off from dessert, but only since their guest had wanted to contribute.
While finishing up in the kitchen, she glanced over to Selphie. "I think we're almost set, in here. Want to help me set up the picnic table outside? And Ceodore...please secure your pet? He's been fed, right?" Kelmis was a dear chocobo, but it was best to have him out of the way for now.
