[He really should have learned his lesson when he first met her and she dumped her shopping bags in his arms when he offered to help. But no. Here he is grumbling quietly to himself behind her with rain drops dripping off the tip of his nose, dampening his jacket and shirt and just generally making him very uncomfortable. His shoulders are hunched and his hands are in his pockets as he walks through the green and orange-lined pathway.]

... So what'm I looking for?

[You know, half her motive here is just making Soul look grumpy. |D She could do this by herself in an hour or so-- two people just makes it easier. Nami twirls her umbrella overhead and gives him a thoroughly dry grin over her shoulder.]

Fallen branches-- they can be cleared. But if any of the limbs are only partly broken or you see a tree that's significantly damaged, let me know.

[Her relationship with Faeren is pretty new in the scheme of things, but she's not had much else to do out here for a while. She's curious to know whether she's good enough to mend her trees yet.]

[Hmph. He's not going to let her dryness get to him. Actually, you know what? He likes being wet. It's fun... :| ... He sighs and looks to the right, examining the trees.

Picking up a fallen branch now. Cutting it in two since it's cumbersome... Guess he'll just hold onto those, then.]

Don't look like it's an execution, Soul. [At least there won't be many branches. Mikan trees are a sturdy bunch.] It won't take us too long. [And yet she...hasn't actually moved away yet to do her own batch. Possibly she's just watching Soul with amusement >>]

[He snorts. Easy for you to say.] I said I'd help. [And he accepts his fate. Doesn't mean he has to like doing it in the rain. But he offers a lazy grin anyway.] Sure you can manage some branches and the umbrella at the same time?

Oh, that's a good point. [Gosh, Soul, you're so perceptive. 8D] Perhaps I should just stand here and supervise.

[Grin. BUT. She does do her own work, so Nami will give a faint little bow and march off in her own direction.

[He sputters a little but then just submits to watching her go with an aggravated look on his face. Well whatever, it's not like she was wrong. Still annoying though.

Grumble grumble.

And he'll just be making his way through "his side" of the orchard for a little bit.]

[At least the rain stays light. And the orchard is in pretty good shape despite the storm. Nami's considering how much she could do with the place with a good working relationship with Faerun and her own talents when it comes to the weather, honestly. It's something that would keep her occupied in this hellhole of a place.

In just over half an hour she'll be trudging back to check on Soul. But she'll swing past the shed to get a towel first.

[He'd been in the middle of picking up some branches and bringing them to a little pile he made when his face is obscured by something light blue. He flails a bit in surprise and yanks it off his head.

Oh, a towel. Blink, blink. He glances over to where it came from.

Oh, it's you.]

... Thanks. [I think.]

You're welcome. How's it going on this side? [Geez, she's done with hers. Never mind the fact she grew up doing this kind of thing or anything.]

[He musses the towel on his head to dry his hair a little as he answers.]

Fine. Pretty much done [He yanks the towel off and looks up at one of the trees.]'Cept for a branch I found up there that's broken.

[Following his gaze up to the branch in question, half snapped from the trunk and resting at a precarious angle over the other branches. And frowning. Well, it's not like she can't reach the tops of the trees anyway, but that's...awkward to get to.

Standing on tippytoes to thread her arm through the leaves and tug on the branch. She can't quite get the right angle.]

...annoying. It had to be right up the top...
