Jack Sparrow was more than ready to tie one or two or six or seventeen on with Vash and Raven once that hellworld of an AU was at an end. Sometimes you got married and then woke up and found you weren't married but that you WERE imprisoned and then a large dragon threatens to tear out your tongue.

There's no better time to get Vash drunk, strap him into a bear suit, and rob something. Something like a bakery.

Unfortunately, Jack was now so drunk he'd forgotten about that little plan and Raven's proclamation threw him for a loop.

"Oi! I know I'm currently in possession of an undead monkey and a length of Viennese sausages, but I'm not about to do that."

For Vash's part, he had enjoyed himself over the AU. True, he felt guilty that he had forgotten all the people on Gunsmoke he had met and his promise to Rem to make Gunsmoke the Edan she had hoped it would be, but it had felt too good to be a normal person with a loving family to hate it.

Although he's worried about what Legato will do. So it seemed more than a good enough reason to drink.

So he sat with his two favorite drinking buddies in all of Luceti. He really had let himself drink more than he should, but it was so easy to get into the drinking with BOTH of them to drink against.

His collar long ago unbutton, Vash had been resting his head on the table, debating on just how much trouble he was going to be if Meryl catches him in this state (and debating if he was drunk enough to not care for now) when Raven made his suggestion.

"Wha- Yo-you're not talking about stealing pies are you bro-"

He pauses mid word to dizzily swing his head towards Jack. Still trying to comprehended what the pirate had just said.

"Huh?!"

Raven scratched his head at Jacks comment, more towards the sausage part than the undead monkey. He was too drunk out of his head to make sense of it right now. It had been far too long since he last shared a drink in the bar with the guys.

He then pointed towards Vash.

"See! Vashy here has the right idea! I might be a little itty bit drunk, but I'm sure I remember us talkin' about something... somethin' ta do with pies... I don't really like pies myself, it just sounded like fun."

He paused for a moment, certain that it was definitely a bakery theft they had planned. Or was it? All these drinks were starting to go straight to his head.

"It's nothin' ta do with undead sausages."

"Thank goodness, mate. Next thing we know it'll have somethin' to do with Vash wearing a bear suit! HA!"

He elbowed Raven knowingly at these words before taking another long drink of rum, very happy that the sausages and monkey would not be involved.

Vash lets out a very unmanly groan as he lets his head fall back down to the table.

"I don't want to rob the bakery. Can't we just order another drink? I don't want to get in trouble. What do you say, brothers? Next round's on me!" He's just hoping that they're too drunk to remember the drinks are free anyway.

I DID WONDER... crisis_rain May 3 2011, 20:06:18 UTC
Raven glared towards Jack, then towards Vash. He may be drunk, but his memory really isn't as bad as he likes to claim it is. Getting wasted in the bar was great and all, but he was becoming bored.

"Are you telling me that I'm the most sober person here? Somethin' is wrong with this picture."

He pauses, thinking for a moment. "The drinks are free..."

my life = insanity right now, too. sorry for slowness. lists_to_port May 4 2011, 01:19:40 UTC
Jack missed Raven's glare because he was too busy staring at Vash after the unmanly groan came out.

"It won't be you what's robbing the bakery, lad. It'll be the bear."

Raven's statement about free drinks, however, returned his attention to the other man. "Can something free be stolen? I'm thinkin' it can."

Damn it, Raven. Ruining his not very well thought out plan!

"Right. The bear. Good luck finding one at this hour."

I'm still on slowatus, so it's fine! crisis_rain May 4 2011, 06:52:31 UTC
"I think we've already got the bear issue sorted." A smirk swipes across his face, which can never mean anything good. Though it seems he'll have to make a quick run home to oollect the suit.

He signals towards the bottles on the table once again. A few of them are empty, but there are still some containing a fair amount of alcohol left. "Now drink up, my boy! The night is still young, and you're clearly not outta yer head yet!"

Jack, too, pushed a half-empty glass of beer toward Vash. Then he leaned back and busied himself at the table behind them pouring any and all leftover alcohol into one single glass---God even knew what it was, spirits and wine and beer and possibly some Romulan ale---creating a strange, blue oozy punch. This he also set in front of Vash.

"Aye. Drink up, my good sir."

And I'm!!!!! No, I'm just at work. I'm boring. goldenglasses May 4 2011, 15:49:41 UTC
While Vash is a little relieved that thoughts of pie theft have been monetarily put on hold in favor of more drinking. That is until he watches his half drank glass of beer start to turn blue. Blue... he thinks he remembers hearing something bad about blue alcohol here.

Or was that purple?

Octagon?

Wait... octagon isn't a color! Is it? Hmmmmmmm.

Maybe he shouldn't drink anymore.

"No, no, no, no, no. Y-you can take th-this one."

I'm boring too, it's ok. And it was purple. crisis_rain May 5 2011, 17:35:26 UTC
Raven couldn't say that he'd seen a blue drink before, let alone one as strange as that. A part of him was tempted to snatch it from Vash to see how it tasted, but he strictly remembered that his drinking buddy needed to be insanely drunk for this plan to ever work.

He grinned, trying to encourage Vash to drink it.

"I'm sure it tastes great! It's gotta be, especially if Jacky recommends it!"

"Oh, I do. Mixed it myself." Jack privately hoped they wouldn't do Vash a harm. Then he forgot about that hope and indulged in some more rum.

"Cherry. I like cherry pie."

Vash picked up the drink. Part of his mind said this was crazy, to put that down right away, but it was such a tiny voice. The one telling him that Jack did make it for him and to waste the alcohol would be a crying shame was much louder.

He gave it a test sip and was surprise to find it wasn't so bad and started to take longer drinks.

"I've a-always liked appl-We're not robbing the bakery!"

Without a pause, Raven threw out the best excuse he could think of.

"No, we're not robbin' the bakery. Everythin' in Luceti is free, right? So we're just visiting and takin' a few pies after-hours! Think of it as a midnight feast, no harm can be done by it at all!"

On a technicality, he knew he was right. On a moral standing however, he couldn't say it wasn't questionable. But he didn't particularly care either way, he was bored and he was drunk, this was a good plan to him right now.

"Our Raven has it exactly right, Vash-lad: we're not robbing the pies. We're LIBERATING them! Freedom fighters, us!"

Since Jack had very little moral standing about things like this, he wasn't giving it nearly as much thought as even Raven was. He wanted cherry pie, and he wanted Vash to look like a panda, and he wanted it all to happen now.
