He's not sure he likes it.
It takes a few minutes of quiet melancholy for him to slide out of bed and pull on a clean shirt. He's going to set breakfast out for Jilly before she wakes up. His ability to cook has certainly been lost along with all his false memories, but there are leftovers in the kitchen. Hopefully he won't run into Thursday there, because WEIRD.
As he places rewarmed pancakes and dishes on the table, he suppresses a grin at the realization that he and Dawn now have something very, very weird in common.]

But with them came memories of ten days where they hadn't been hers at all. She'd always said that she wouldn't choose to forget because her experiences were what made her her...but she'd be lying if she didn't admit, just for a little bit, that she might have liked the chance to be someone else for awhile ( ... )

Jack Sparrow is married.

Does that count?
[and all the others, too. Buffy. Leona- no... McCoy. They'd been married, too, though not with the ceremony and the whole nine yards.]
It...it can't really count, can it? Getting married as part of a shift.
An experiment. [and there was another shock, a word she hadn't used in ten days. Because the Malnosso were experimenting on them...and she'd spent the last several days looking to them to 'save the day.'
That certainly left a bitter taste behind.]

[Jilly wasn't exactly fond of deities...and the realization she'd practically worshiped the Malnosso as such was unsettling]
Suddenly, I'm counting myself lucky.
[except, there was no suddenly about it. For ten days, she'd had a family. A real one. With no fake love or false marriages. Lucky was exactly what she'd been]

[He blinks.] We did have a good family, didn't we? Except for the dragon, I mean. We all got on.

[softly] We really did.

[a pause] Or is...I suppose. We stayed pretty close to ourselves, so he's probably not that different minus the relations bit.
