Everywhere, like the prancing mikan fairy that she is. chiisaichou April 25 2011, 03:11:00 UTC
[Miyabi had been looking forward to this event ever since her mother brought it up. How could she possibly have forgotten?! Ahh...it must have been all the craziness with the Shift and the festival. But whatever, now wasn't the time to sweat things like that.

Miyabi will be wearing the same fluttering white dress as her mother as well as a cute little flower tiara that Nami got for her. Her sister's may also be wearing the same tiara, too, as they were meant to match for the harvest. Even as she darts through the orchard, Miyabi's extra careful not to lose the little tiara.

Her basket is empty for the time being, mostly because she'll be playing a bit of hide-and-pounce-on-your-relatives. This happens to be Miyabi's favorite game ever since she was a wee little toddler. FAMILY MEMBERS, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Resistance is futile.

And running only entices her further.]

[One of your grandfathers is wandering around the orchard and assigned himself the role of overlooking the harvest and making sure no one is causing trouble...or having trouble collecting fruit.

He's wearing something more casual for the event and generally seems to be in a more pleasant mood than most days. He totally doesn't notice that someone may be preparing to pounce him. Too busy having a nostalgia moment.]

[Causing trouble? What, why who on earth would dare to cause trouble at such a tranquil, harmonious family get together like this?! Yes, who indeed~ ♥

When Miyabi spies her other grandfather, she grins. Alexei's been more of the serious of her two granpa's, but he never seemed to dislike it when she swooped down and hugged him. This had been her favorite thing to do to any and every member of her family come harvest time, so the routine is rather similar. She'll go in for a sudden attack from behind.

Miyabi springs from her hiding spot, half crashing into her beloved grandpa, arms wrapping around him.]

GOT YOU!

[Holy shit who is that!? Out of reflex he had his hand resting on the hilt of his blade until he glanced behind and realize who it was.]

Miyabi? [His hand relaxes and grins] Heh. So I've been caught. I am not worthy the rank of Captain.

[F-Fff, grandpa why do you even have a sword at a social gather--okay, no, Luceti Valley is a strange and unexpected place, you are forgiven. Though Miyabi's eyes do flick to Alexei's sword for all of a second. Th-That may have ended badly. Cough...maybe she'll be a little more careful.

But, for now, she'll continue hugging and cuddling. Fearless, this one.]

Ah, don't say that, grandpa! You're not meant to catch me. [Because that's how her game goes.]

[Your grandpa just doesn't like going anywhere unarmed. ]

This is true. You've been a good girl afterall. [And he pats her on the head] How many people have you caught so far?

Hehe, I'm never bad, grandpa Alexei~

[So long as you're concerned, at least. Miyabi smiles again, catching her grandfather's arms in both of her and hugging it tight. She may just be hoping Alexei will lift her up like when she was little. Miyabi's not Elicia, but she is rather small and light for a fifteen year old.]

I caught a lot of people so far! Big brother Chouji, mama, you, and I'm hoping to get papa, Zoro, and Luke soon, too!

Is that so? [He grins. So you want him to carry you huh?]

Let's make it a game then. When you've caught Sanji, Zoro and Luke, I'll carry you for the duration of the harvest as a reward.

[...this is going to bite him back won't it?]

[A challenge? Alexei, don't you know competitiveness runs in the family? It's genetic. Plus, that offer has Miyabi make a real like 8D! face. She brightens and flutters her wings excitedly at the prospect of being carried.]

I accept! I'll go look for them all right now! And I'll come back and tell you if I did, grandpa Alexei! [You'll know who she got. They're the ones covered in grass and dirt stains. E-Except for the more delicate ones.] I can get them all in no time at all!

[And off she bounds. She's going to make good on her promise and RETURN TO CLAIM HER REWARD. ...Eventually. ♥]

[Fancy attacking your mother, dear? She's plucking fruit at the end of a row and depositing them into her basket with a nostalgic smile on her face, stopping every now and then to call an answer to someone elsewhere or just engage in small talk between the bushes. Totally preoccupied. |Db]

[Oh, heck yes. Immediate family are perhaps the ones she'll be targeting first and foremost out of anyone else. But for her mother and siblings (especially Elicia) she'll be a bit more gentle. For a moment of two, Miyabi just watches her mother from around the trunk of a tree, a sincere smile replacing the mischievous grin on her face. This really was important to mama, wasn't it?

But now's not the time for sappiness or anything like that. Miyabi's playing a game, her favorite annual game since she was a toddler, so she springs and catches her mother right in her arms. She come from the side, so it's not a complete surprise, and she doesn't put as much force behind it if it was, say, her father, brother, or Zoro.]

Surprise!

[Jumping anyway. With a start at first, and then once she realises it's Miya, hey, may as well put her heart into being surprised. |D]

Miya! [Latch. B| C'mere, young lady.]

[Laughter abounds from the little once her mother catches her. Miyabi hugs onto Nami tighter, wobbling precariously as her balance falters from being attached Nami's waist. This was so nice, their annual harvest. Miyabi didn't get to spend times like this, alone, with her mother very often. Among the flowering trees, the ripe fruits, and familiar atmosphere...this was definitely her favorite day of the year.]

Mmh...I got you, mama.

[And she is not letting go.]

Darn. I'm never any good at this game. [On purpose. Huuugs. And just reaching up to nudge that pretty tiara of yours back into place. All this ninja-ing is making it tilt.] Have you managed to tackle your father, yet?

[But mom, you're not supposed to be good at this game. It's a game Miyabi made, so obviously she's supposed to win at it. She grins and hugs her mother a bit tighter, but pouts and pulls back when Nami mentions her ex-husband and Miya's father.]

Not yet! I haven't been able to find him, but I will! And I'm gonna pounce on him extra hard for all the trouble he's been causing me to find him!

mikangirl April 28 2011, 05:15:03 UTC
Oh, good. Pounce on him for me while you're at it. [Because ex-wives shouldn't do that sort of thing, but she can use a proxy, right? >>]
