[If Sir Catherine and Molly should happen to approach the concert area, they might see Giles there alone, sitting onstage and practicing his part of their duet for later that afternoon.

He notices the phalanx of droids out of his peripheral vision easily enough, and from there it's not hard to guess who they're guarding.

He just carefully lays the guitar down and gets off the stage to carefully approach the formation.]

Sir Catherine. And, um, miss. [He nods politely to the unfamiliar intern.] Always nice to have you with us. Is everything looking all right so far?

... [ slowly, she drops a curtsy, one-handed though it is. there's something almost sarcastic about the gesture, especially in the way she neither smiles nor looks away. ]

Th-Th-Thank you. I-I-I-It's very nice here.

[...aw, you're so cute with your stutter. Giles used to stutter that bad.

He smiles at Molly anyway, meeting her gaze directly where he might not Catherine's. Unintentionally trying to get a read on her, like he might Amelia or Ami when they're in a strange mood.]

So you're Sir Catherine's...assistant, yes?

He's never needed an assistant before. Are we getting to be too much for him here in the village?

[ To her credit, Molly does not stiffen at Giles' statement -- "he's never needed an assistant before" -- though she does wonder idly in the back of her mind if he knows just how incisive it really is. Blithely ]

Oh, y-y-yes. You're all just t-t-too much for him to h-h-handle al-l-l-lone.

[It wasn't meant to stiffen. Or maybe it was - it probably wasn't just small talk. In part, it was meant to let him know what this girl was doing here, whether or not her presence was a sign of good things or bad.]

I know that. But we aren't supposed to be too much for him during the festival

Please pass along my apologies, then. If you wouldn't mind. We didn't mean to have anyone working today except us.

D-D-D-Don't worry ab-b-bout it. [ in an idle tone. ] I w-w-w-w-w-was just kidding.

I wasn't.

Well, not entirely.

Still, it's good of you both to go to all this trouble.

[If that's what you are doing. He's wondering about the clipboard.]

[ If you could see it, you would see that there are notes in her tiny, neat script, nearly illegible shorthand, though mostly it is actually notes on the people she has met and spoken to. What they look like, what they spoke about... so she can get their names, later. And learn.

... there are also a few idle doodles, but that is neither here nor there.

Aaaah, but the genuine ones are the hardest to deal with. Molly's voice is of a quality of softness that is almost gentle. ]

I-I-I-I-It's really n-n-no trouble a-a-a-at all.
