What: a birthday vacation
When: tuesday night to thursday morning
Where: jack's lake house
Summary: dawn summers has talked buffy summers into bugging out for her birthday -- buffy finds herself easily persuaded because not being in the same village as warren mears is probably the best thing ever. even if it means breakfasting with jack sparrow.
Rating: f for fun! will update as needed but expect it to be pg-13ish.

"So, you're positive he's been just a gentleman? 'Cause we can still turn back if there's been even just a whiff of unsavoury. I wouldn't want to ruin or mini-vacay with a surplus of unsavoury." Buffy offered her sister the leading question as they trudged through the snow towards the western lake. It was a long trek -- longer than Buffy remembered, but then again she did not remember it with so much whiteness clogging up the paths. She walked ahead, kicking as clear a track as she could for Dawn's benefit.

Talking Buffy into this retreat had not been an ordeal; after all, she felt glad to escape the village on her birthday. Badness seemed to follow the date around and if she could remove the two of them from the larger population of Luceti? All the better. But why did it have to be a retreat to Jack's? Well, Dawn had insisted. It seemed she had taken a liking to the pirate. This was almost the last thing that Buffy needed. Oh, well. At least she could factor Jack into her where can I whisk Dawn off to safety stratagem. Especially if she was likely to go willingly.
