[Throughout the day, Buffy can be ran into around the village -- however, her thoughts seem to be parading themselves above her head. Sometimes, it shows mundane things. The shopping, the shoes she wants most at the moment, the perfect cappuccino. But perhaps, when you run into her, it might be showing something else. A snippet of a battle? A vampire's face? The barest hint of one of her many and varieddramatic previous relationships?

At first, she will be completely unaware said broadcast is taking place. Feel free to let her know or just pretend like it's not happening!]

[He was hoping to run into you, Buffy. He has an apology for you and is otherwise unaware of any experiment.]

Hey, Sunny. Over here. [He'll be approaching her from behind.]

[At the sound of the nickname, Buffy turns. Her face is hard. She has managed to internalize what happened between them as a great humiliation.]

Here to be a little more bipolar, huh? [Luckily, the thought bubbles are holding off. For the moment.]

[Yeah, he probably deserves that. Hell, by this point, he probably is bipolar.]

Actually, I wanted to apologize. I've had my head frelled with so many times, I'm not good with 'change' anymore. Especially the kind that seems too good to be true.

[With the wind rather thoroughly knocked out of her SELF-RIGHTEOUS SAILS, Buffy's demeanor relaxes.]

...Apology accepted. Mostly--I mean, you gotta realize that talking people down from the gun-to-the-head position is probably my least favourite pastime.

[He holds his hands up defensively.]

Trust me, I don't plan on going John McClane again on you any time soon.

I suppose this means you're ready to reclaim Winona.

[...A fuzzy image of the gun (greatly exaggerated!) pops above her head. Pesky experiment.]

I'm not going to object if... [And he trails off. What the hell is above her head?]

It's just...uhm--back at the house. Have you found a spot to live, yet? I could drop it by...[she didn't want to invite John over again without being sure he would be up for that. Things got so strange last time.]

[Sorry, not paying attention. He points above her head.] Tell me you saw that. Tell me I'm not crazy, the bubble... the bubble above your head, you saw it, right?

The...bubble? [She tries to look up, but there's nothing there. Not the moment. But god dammit it sounds familiar. Quickly, she remembers the experiment where thoughts had decided to project themselves. And as she rights her head to look back at John, a little scene of seeing someone else (a bleach blond someone else) with a bubble over their head--its contents indiscernible--playing out.] Oh, God. Not again.

[Oh good, so he's not crazy. Just... seeing bubbles over people's heads.]

Again?

[A flicker of when they met, in the battle dome.]

Remember how I told you about those experiments?

[Frowning now.]

When you said experiments, I was thinking more Frankenstein and less Garfield.

They range from the weird to the horrortastic. But, John? Just think how badly your thoughts broadcasting for all to see can actually end up. Way beyond Frankenstein levels of bad.

[And as if to illustrate, their brief and rather oddly handled kiss is the next channel to be flipped to.]

[He notices.] Point taken. Anyway to turn off the free HBO?
