Rogue appears out of no where and lands with smack dab on the lap of... attractive blond man. Okay, she's had crazier dreams. "Oomph!"

...but she's not usually wearing so little in them. And he certainly doesn't feel like a dream. "What the-- careful, don't--"

Vash didn't even see her coming. After all, it's not everyday that someone suddenly appears out of no where to fall on top of you. He didn’t even get a chance to give off a moronic scream before he found a rather pretty girl in his lap… in a sundress. Vash has been in Luceti long enough to know a new feather when he sees one.

“Are you alright, miss?” His knees after all not being the most comfortable thing to land on. He reaches out with his ungloved hand to touch her shoulder to help her sit up. Of course, this turns out to be a rather bad move.

On second thought, maybe the 'sitting down and letting him touch her' - not that he'd given her much of a a choice - wasn't the worst idea. The minute she felt the familiar tug of her powers, she knew that:

A) This wasn't a dream
B) Something was seriously wrong

Because her powers had never felt this sluggish. Each image was distinct and the more she absorbed, the more she realized - that 'A' was an understatement along the lines of 'Unleashing Apocalypse is No Big Deal.'

Vash lets out a quiet, surprised, pained gasp. Memories pour out of him as Rogue will be getting a quick crash course on what it's like to live in Luceti. Some of it really isn't so bad, even a bit comical.

Wolfwood yelling at their cat and only being scratched for his pains.
Vash, stuck napping upside down in a tree.
Eating free donuts.
Eating a quiet dinner with Meryl.
Meryl kissing him.
Eating free donuts.
A nerf gun fight in the plaza.
Rem. Images of a beautiful woman, with long black hair. Her singing and laughing happily ( ... )

So many, many memories - none of them familiar none of them from Earth - Rogue hesitates a few seconds too long, seconds that could have cost both of them if her powers weren't feeling so slow - before scrambling off his lap. It's harder than it should be, her balance is off--

--Wings--

--she lands in a crouch by his bed, the slight thud making her aware of--

Roommate - best friend - black hair and cigarettes -- gun -- and a smile

Her hand up to her head as she takes in the memories and holds on to his psyche for as long as she can, trying to milk as much information out of it as she can about the place where she is and who she's with. As long as she's quiet... everything should be okay for now.

Vash tips over and falls onto his stomach on top of his bed in a deep sleep. His own wings and neck barcode there for her to see. His journal that should have been in many of the images sits on his desk with a snow glob on top of it. His coat hanging up on the wall, walls that are painted in a rather breathtaking sunrise mural.

For now he'll sleep peacefully on the bed for a few minutes.

Rogue knows where everything in the room is - she doesn't even have to look. It's as if she put it away the night before. Her arm... there's something she has to be careful with about her arm, a power there. She feels stronger... older...

Much older.

It's a dangerous thing, to give in to a psyche's desires, but she likes that red coat too... and she needs to cover up. Vash seems like an understanding sort, he'll be all right if she sticks around explains things - and he'll explain more too. Those images of death don't scare her. She's absorbed Wolverine and Sabertooth, she's seen what they've seen and done what they've done and she has blood on her hands too.

Mystique. Apocalypse.

She slips it on. It's old comfortable leather, fits just right - no, it's too big - and starts to look for the gloves that she knows he has. She slips them on and settles on to the floor with her back to the wall, facing the sunrise.

He likes it. -There's laughter and teasing and two girls with dark hair- She does too.

Vash sleeps soundly for a good ten, fifteen minutes before his starts to stir slightly. He groans and slowly pushes himself up right, his left arm coming to rub at his forehead. He speaks softly in a quiet voice. “Ugh… what, what happened? Did Wolfwood get me to drink too much again? I dreamed that a girl fell from the sky and… landed… on…” He stares speechless at the girl huddled in his coat on the opposite side of the room. So apparently that wasn’t a dream.

"Hi." She's moved forward a bit by now because his strength has run out and wings. They hurt if she puts pressure on them, but she knows from his memories that the pain goes away, and that she needs to keep them guarded.

"Sorry about - that." She waves one gloved hand at him a little weakly. "I didn't do it on purpose. I'm Rogue."

Vash fully sits up, his hand still rubbing his head has he does so. “Hi, I’m…” A pause as a fake name doesn’t come as easily with a headache pounding through your brain. “…Frank. Are you alright? What happened?”

Rogue gives him the smallest of sympathetic smiles and shakes her head. "No, you're not. Your name is Vash, and don't worry I'm not going to go around telling - everyone anything. I don't know why I ended up on top of you, but when you touched me you activated my power. So I know who you are."

He turns a slight shade of red as his hand goes from holding his head, to rubbing it sheepishly. "Oh... uh, sorry, it's just that there's someone here and it would be better he doesn't know who I'm acquainted with."

There's a pause as it sinks in what she could mean when she says that she knows who he is. "How much do you know about me?"

She closes her eyes for a minute and sighs. "A lot."

He's not going to like this.

Do you blame him?

No.

Just tell him, he'll understand.

Nobody understands.

Ya got people lookin' out for ya--

Listening to the voices in your head is a good way to get driven crazy. "Look. I don't want to take up too much of your time. I stuck around to make sure you're okay, since my powers are weird here. I'll tell you what happened, but if I do you have to promise not to freak out, okay?"

Vash grins warmly and crosses his heart with his hand. "Promise. I won't freak out." Luceti has given him so many surprise, that he doesn't think he can freak out too badly at anything, anymore.

"Right." The drawl is a little more pronounced on that word as she doesn't quite believe him.

But she does know him now, so... she takes a deep breath. "When you touched me, I absorbed your memories, your lifeforce... and your powers." She touches her right arm over to her left and taps it twice, so he knows exactly what she's talking about.

"They're a part of me now. Along with some of your impressions of this place... Luceti, right?" There's a bit of a quiver there, as if she's trying not to be scared; as if things this terrible happen every day but she's still not used to it and it shows. "I can't control it. You're just lucky I was able to get off you in time."

Vash’s eyes widen slightly at the mention of having his power. He knows what a burden and just how dangerous that can be. She has all his memories, his powers… he’s not really sure what to make of all that. It’s so much to take in all at once. “All of my memories?”

There’s something else that’s important too. “You said we were lucky. What could have happened?”
