[He eye still ached; the throbbing pain of having an old wound reopened in such a way was torture for the old fox, and she was thankful to get at least a night's reprieve to rest and recover somewhat. Ninetails was also thankful that it wasn't her good eye that was injured, but the one she no longer had.

But the human would pay for her folly. Ninetails wasn't sure of her death, and if she still lived, she was going to make sure she died properly. She'd string her up by her intestines if she had to to be sure. But first, she had to find the girl.

Slinking into her beloved darkness, the fox made her way from her cave and followed the scent of the Forest god, like a moth to a flame. She assumed Moro was still away, so she had no idea this was a live trap she was walking so foolishly into.]

[Moro caught the sound and scent of Ninetail's approach. Silently, swiftly, she leapt from her perch and charged with the force and determination of a train towards the fox, her footfall as light as it could be for a creature of such massive weight.]

[Ninetail's ears swivel to the sound. Light though they may be, she can still sense that something is coming, and with the scent of the Forest God being as strong as it is... The stillness of the night rips with a feral snarl as the fox, enraged, holds her ground and waits for the battle to begin.]

[It doesn't take too long for Moro's first attack. In a mighty leap, she erupted from the trees, jaws agape and a loud roar released from her lungs.]
