[Lambda said he'd show and he really was curious about what kind of people would show up at Naoki's party so... here he is! He looks horribly out of place though, standing in a corner with a blank expression. He's just watching people, unsure about what he's actually supposed to do. Hopefully, he'll run into Richard here. He'd probably feel more comfortable around someone he actually knows.]

[Lambda has a very logical reason for being here. After all, Richard is the one who insisted that he and Naoki be friends, but Lambda declined because he doesn't know the boy that well. Attending his birthday party is a way to get acquainted. Besides, he wasn't exactly oblivious to Naoki's lack of enthusiasm at being friends with him. He wants to show he's not such a bad guy.]

Naoki.

[Lambda just gazes up at him with a mildly blank expression. He hates being short.]

Adjusting to this place is taking longer than I had anticipated.

[His expression darkens slightly. Whatever that last 'experiment' was, it brought back a lot of painful memories for Lambda. Things that seemed almost like the real thing, but he knew it could never be true.]

... I won't be fooled so easily.

[He doesn't entirely realize it's a personal question. He's just showing interest in Naoki.]

[Lambda lowers his head to stare at the floor. At least now he knows where Richard was during all this.]

I see. Humans stick together in times of need.

[Richard's hard to miss, flitting around talking to everyone because that's what you do at a party, isn't it? He almost doesn't notice Lambda in his corner at first, but when he does, he'll look surprised for just the briefest moment before he comes over to greet him.]

Lambda... thank you for coming. I'm truly glad you're here.

[And it's sincere; he really means that.]
