[Richard is in his element here, mingling, stopping to chat with anyone and everyone, and just generally enjoying himself. This is a lot more fun than the sort of parties he's used to attending at home and it shows in his demeanor-- he's not just being polite, he's actually having fun. The fact that it's a party for Naoki is also helping on that end.

I managed to escape from him while he was distracted.
