Rydia was completely and thoroughly soaked, but she didn't care. After that heated, ugly exchange of words with the unhinged bard, she couldn't remain within any longer. Even the joy she felt at Rosa's return was snuffed out for the time being, replaced by overwhelming rage and misery.
The Summoner huddled at somewhere near the cave, knees drawn up to her chin and arms looped around her legs. Her skin was almost numb thanks to the time spent beneath the pouring rain (she hadn't kept track of how long), though in a way it was almost a blessing. If she remained there long enough, perhaps that numbness would seep into her spirit as well, and she would be free of such turmoil. In the meantime, her thin frame trembled.
