Star Gazing - Any NightcrytearsofjoyJune 11 2010, 03:47:25 UTC
[Picking a spot away from the tents and the light of the fire pit, Winry lays out a blanket on the grass. She isn't too far because she's still wary of the night. However she wants it to be dark. Dark enough so she can see as many lights as possible. Lights from the sky.
It's almost like back home, where there was little to no light pollution. Unlike Central. The stars this night shine brightly, and they're simply magnificent. Winry spreads out on her blanket to stare up at the little white specks, and anyone is welcome to join her.]
[As typical before Sokka heads to sleep himself, he does a headcount to make sure everyone is accounted for. When he finds that Winry isn't with the others, he goes searching. Unfortunately he doesn't expect to find Winry on the ground, so at some point... he'll be tripping over her.]
When I was younger Ed, Al, and I used to go out at night, but not so much anymore. I work late into the night now, and Rush Valley's light pollution doesn't let many stars be seen.
[Light pollution? He thinks about that for a moment. He recalls there nights in Ba Sing Se... it wasn't that bright at night, but some places would still have their lanterns burning well into the night. That did make it harder to see.]
It's not like that at Resembool though! Back home, in the farm land, there aren't as many houses or buildings that have electricity on at night. [She gets sick of craning her neck so she slides back and lies down.]

If you don't mind, sure. If we were back home, I could point out the constellations to you. Not so much here. Different sky and all.

Thanks. [He goes back to stargazing.] We used to do this almost every night, before I arrived in Luceti.
