Even before Rydia opened her eyes, she felt...different. A little. As she surfaced to consciousness, the summoner tried to figure that out, but her sluggish mind was not cooperating. It wasn't until her eyes fluttered open and she turned her head did everything snap into place.
That head was rested on Kain's shoulder, as the rest of her was firmly snuggled against him. She had a very good view of his neck at this point, which was well-marked by earlier teasing. Memories of the past week flooded back to her, and she jolted out of that relaxed state, sitting up abruptly. Certain feelings hadn't vanished, but they weren't overpowering her as they had before, and now she was left with more confusion than euphoria.
Panic began to rise as she glanced down at him. There was so much that needed to be said, and yet at that moment Rydia wasn't sure she knew where to start, at all. Or if he would even be in the mood to listen, when he awoke. It was her idea, her fault, even though she never thought so much would result from it. Perhaps he would blame her.
Staring down at her hands, Rydia wondered if it wasn't a better idea to simply...not be there when he awoke. As much as she hated to think it, there was yet another instance where temporary avoidance might be a sound idea. A time to gather thoughts that weren't too clear at the moment, then maybe later they could talk when it wasn't bound to be so awkward.
She straightened after reaching over to snag her pile of clothing, hastily donning her leotard and then getting to her feet. It was time to cast Warp and hope that they would be able to mend things later....
