HELLZ YEAH HOUSE FOUR ALL OUT ASSAULT FORCE... CHAARGE! hotheadedidiot August 29 2009, 22:26:12 UTC
Stahn walked down the battlefield, sword in hand, his scarf fluttering in the wind. His housemates, who had agreed to work together to take down their enemies, followed along in tandem. This was the moment for them, the one they had prepared for these past couple days. Their weapons at the ready, they were prepared to strike down any who got in their way.

And at that moment, a soldier came running towards him. "Demon Fang!", Stahn cried out, sending the powerful shockwave speeding towards the soldier.

"Let's do this!" Vyse shouted, a valiant smirk tugging at his lips as he charged forward. He was eager to kick some butt and it showed. These guys had made it clear they were bearing the intent to kill, so the Blue Rogue captain wouldn't show them any mercy. His twin cutlasses flashed in the sunlight as he used them to slash at the first soldier he encountered.

He'd give those intruders hell for messing with Luceti.

Kyle wasn't going down without a good fight. He fought many enemies before and he will do it again for the sake for the people in Luceti. He was both mentally and physically preparing himself for this. As the soldiers came his way, he gripped his sword. "Azure Edge!" Kyle cried as he slashes the enemies and continuing to do so.

Close by the other three, Leon readied his swordian, Chaltier. Whispering a quick line or two of encouragement to the blade, he charged at the closest enemy, leaping into the air to pull off an arte (one in which he will spiral upwards in the air while slashing, ending with a diagonal downward thrust) in the hopes of knocking it to the ground for the others. "Swallow Talon!"

[[OOC: Leon'll likely take down at least four or so (counting any he helps Stahn, Vyse, or Kyle to take out, if he does) before taking too much of a beating to continue. He'll retreat when that happens.]]

His arte indeed catches the soldier in her side and she staggers back, out of the air and hitting the ground hard. It only takes her a moment to recover, however, and she's on his feet and tucking in her wings to charge Leon quickly.

Good -- that's exactly what he was hoping for.

It takes Leon a moment to land as well, so the soldier's quick movements leave Leon little time to properly act. The enemy seems unarmed (which makes her movements confusing to him), so he charges forward, swinging his sword horizontally the moment he's close enough. He's expecting some sort of trick or magic of some sort from this enemy, so he's hoping a frontal attack will draw it out.

It does indeed; she lifts her arm and almost seems to block the strike with her own flesh. However, his sword will probably ring as if it had struck metal, and a closer look should reveal an inch or two of what appears to be empty space between her skin and his blade.

That makes Leon pause for a second before drawing back. Invisible weapons ... that makes this a little more dangerous than he was expecting.

Regardless, after stepping away, he immediately fires off a Demon Fang arte, hoping to throw her off balance. Whether it does or doesn't, he'll be charging in again regardless to let loose a flurry of slashes as soon as he's within range. That just so happens to be another arte -- Dragon Swarm.

The Demon Fang distracts her more than it does rattle her, but the immediate assault following the arte pushes her back and forces her to lose ground until she stumbles and staggers backward; her wings unfold and flap and she takes to the sky, where she rears back and hurls a bolt a lightning towards him.

'A spellcaster-- no sign of an incantation, either.' This line of thought came immediately after Leon dodged to the side, narrowly avoiding being hit by her spell. His Swordian practically echoed his thoughts, suggesting he rethink his current strategy -- which is just what Leon does.

After moving the blade to his front, a glyph briefly appeared on the ground beneath him, causing a mass of stone to hurriedly form above the soldier and drill straight down at her. "Stone Wall!"

Hardly expecting earth to attack from the sky, the airborne soldier can only managed a brief shriek before she's smashed against the ground by the weight of the boulder, where she twitched once before laying still.

Several soldiers lock into battle with Kyle, though with how quickly he's moving there's little else for all but one to do besides circle and search for an opportunity to strike. One dives in and locks blades with him (though the soldier's blade is far less visible).

Kyle can't afford to let his guard down for it could be the last thing he'll see. Although he couldn't see the blade that well, he had a vague idea of where but he needed to clear the area and catch his enemies off guard. So he jumped into the air and smashed his sword to the ground

"Slag Assault!" He shouted and continued to slash his way through. Clearly, Kyle likes to charge straight on.

The earth pounds against the soldier's defenses and he staggers back; several other soldiers catch the brunt of Kyle's attacks until they decide that enough is enough and abruptly vacate a circle around Kyle, moving as if one in thought.

Several casters circling overhead begin to drop spells down, however; bolts of lightning and fire.

Kyle managed to avoid some of the lightning and fire but that was through dumb luck that he was too busy slashing this way through. However, he did manage to get some burns but nothing too bad. At this rate, he needed to do something fast. Even though he's slashing his way through, he wasn't use to taking on this many.

Still, he continued on.

As if sensing that Kyle was beginning to grow desperate, the casters increase the frequency of their spells. If they could exhaust him and drive him into a corner, the other soldiers could finish him off.
