Today's date is September 17th of our Luceti calender. I hope that all of you reading this are familiar with the guide in some form; I am doing ( Read more... )

When I spoke with ANI's creator, I got a very strong impression that she may have been associated with the Third Party at one point in time.

She did not confirm it, but she also did not deny it when I outright stated that it was likely.

Hmm, I see. That's an interesting tie, and seems to fit in her case.

It does, in fact that was the first thing I asked her and speaking more with her, I became more and more convinced that was the case. And also that we are being used as pawns in a battle between her and them.

I'm not sure I like that, but the alternative does not seem much better either.

It does feel like we are pawns, though it's not just her chessboard. It seems more as if everyone involved considers us pawns, but we're being waged against the world's cycles itself. "A valuable resource", John once said. Right now it is their advantage.

As long as we remain aware of it... there's not much more we can do.

Yes, being trapped in this barrier with no information on what to do to deal with this Third Party does make it difficult to be much more than a pawn or a valuable resource.

Still, it is good to know that our lives hold some value to them. But still, in a game of chess, the pawns are much more readily sacrificed than the other pieces are.

That is why we have to be careful. Although I do not believe that is a concern... yet.

Not yet, but it will be, I just have a bad feeling it will be. Do you think the Third Party will be back also?

If so, I wonder why we aren't trying to build more permanent defenses. We did admirably before, but we could have done much better with more time.

Possibly, at some point, though it could be some time, months, maybe another year. After all, we were only 'alerted' to their existence only recently, hence the lack of time for preparation. People also operate quicker when the threat looms closer.

It wouldn't surprise me if permanent defenses are in the minds of others who are more capable of organizing those measures as well. Perhaps it is a discussion that may come up soon.
