Welcome to our new arrivals. The first half of each month, for as long as I remember, has been identifiable as a time when several newcomers to Luceti appear. This is now widely referred to as the New Feather cycle, though it's only a term coined within the last two years.
My name is Albert Silverberg, and I am one of the longer-residing prisoners in Luceti who will actually respond to questions. I am utilizing a secure system filtered directly to residents with journals; nothing written within this system can be viewed by what has recently been referred to as the Malnosso Organization.
If you have not already seen the compiled guide of Luceti, you may find it
here. It is currently maintained by Mark and Professor Raine Sage.
There are many things spoken about over the journals. Anything written here should not be mentioned over the journal system; to do so would compromise what little information and leverage we have working for us right now.
In other words, don't talk or write about this information over the journals. The journals are not secure.
Contrary to popular belief, the Malnosso did not bring us to Luceti; we have been drawn into this world by something beyond even the Malnosso's control. The Malnosso possess superior technology that allows them to watch our movements and control the environment that we are imprisoned within -- the area within the barrier. This allows them to perform experiments that affect everyone within the barrier.
The Malnosso, as well as the people within the village we have long called "the Filial," are also not from Luceti; much like us, they are here from other worlds, though they definitely have the advantage of an established hierarchy in the form of an "research organization."
According to a recently-appearing entity called ANI, the Malnosso Organization's goals have changed numerous times in the last 200 years. Their current 'public objective' should be of great interest to everyone here: "To locate a means with which to travel between our worlds." While the Malnosso undoubtedly have ulterior motives, it is with this objective in mind that we work with two people within the Malnosso Organization.
These traitors, aliases John and Jacob, are not to be mentioned at all to anyone from the Malnosso Organization. Jacob is a sympathizer who believes that helping us will help him return to his own world -- another version of Earth that may or may not coincide with other versions of Earth mentioned by other residents. John is a scientist whose main interest is conducting research, whether or not it complies with the Malnosso Organization's procedures. They are the only ones with the Organization we have any reason to converse with freely.
While the Malnosso Organization's efforts would lead us to believe that we should sit idly by and simply be experiments, there are other variables to take into account. There are those outside of the barrier -- others brought to this world who we cannot contact. There are the few "Filial," who have been here longer than us but cannot communicate with us.
There are the numerous, unexplainable Shifts that have compromised the Malnosso's experiments and change the results of repeated experiments.
There are the desert ruins out to the east of the mountains that still have their own mysteries.
Again, do not mention any of this to the Malnosso Organization. To be on the safe side, whenever another party communicates with us, do not tell anything. Instead, ask questions.
If there are any questions, ask them here. If I have not mentioned something important, add it here. That is all for now.
