HELLO PEOPLE OF LUCETI. I bring to you a meme of sorts. ... Well, more like an info survey of sorts but-- anyway.

Some of you may remember this from the last time I did it. Welp, guess what? I've updated it once more, and am bringing it back for everyone to enjoy and fill out and all that stuff. To those who've done this before, I added five more ( Read more... )

11) Has the situation in Luceti changed their view on certain topics/the way they react to different things?: Most tellingly, in Luceti Katara is being forcibly introduced to the concept of 'gray.' She is adapting to it, slowly and painfully as she is someone of extremes and passions, and she is protesting the death of her idealism all the way as the horror stories of a dozen worlds keep clashing with her view of The Way Things Should Be.

Also, she's buddies with Zuko now.

12) Do they have a weapon? If so, do they carry it at all times or just under certain circumstances?: Due to Luceti's fickle nature when it comes to powers, it wasn't long before a situation came up where Katara had to go into the tunnels. This prompted her decision to learn how to fight with another style other than bending. So, she has:

-A bo, which she pretty much leaves at home unless she's working with it.
-A knife, which she carries with her at all times, pretty much just
because it was made by Sokka for her and is therefore precious.
-Her waterskin. This... goes with her everywhere. She doesn't even
think about it anymore.
-Allen Walker made her a glass bracelet filled with water which she's
had Sokka adjust into an armband. She wears it everywhere.

13) Who are their neighbors?: Katara... actually doesn't know.
This should be remedied.

14) How long have they been in Luceti? Has that length of time impacted them in any way?: She's been in Luceti almost a year. While she loves most of the people she's met here (truly loves), this place has dealt her spirit some crushing blows. She really, really, really wants to go home.

15) Their favorite areas/stores/hang-out locations?: The bridge by her house and a certain spot along the riverbank.

16) Wing color and how do they deal with their wings?: Katara's wings are bluish-grey at the base that go through the color spectrum until they reach the vivid blue of her eyes at the tips. She's cut holes in her clothes and sown them up so that her wings are out most of the time... but her clothes are usually loose enough that if she feels like she's in danger she can tuck them inside.

17) Did they change or grow in any way physically since coming to
Luceti?: A steady, healthy diet and a more sedentary lifestyle than the kind Katara is used to has led to her beginning to develop in the womanly way (and no her icons do not reflect this) - she's had to do some discrete mending on her clothes to keep them as loose as she prefers. Also, she's topped out her height now - at just a bit taller than 5'5.

18) What do they miss the most from home?: She misses being in a world where things matter. Luceti seems to be one endless cycle of pointlessness and loss and it's getting to her.

And she misses her village, and her dad, and Gran Gran, and Toph, and Aang - although due to his numerous appearances and disappearances and then finding out that an alternate of herself marries the guy, that particular 'I miss you' has been buried until she can sort things out. Which... without Aang will probably be sometime after never.

19) What does their handwriting look like? Do they write the way
they talk, or is there a clear difference between the two?: Katara's handwriting has actually improved since she's been in Luceti, since she's never had much of a chance to practice it before. It's flowy and neat, with occasionally getting bigger when she becomes emotional about something. While writing, she has a chance to think a bit more before she speaks, but really there's not too much difference between writing and speaking.

20) Is the way they act in person different from the way they act
over the journal system?: Not really different at all, no, although sometimes she'll be more cautious about what information she gives out on the journals.
