Strengths: As a beast, there are a few physical benefits (which can also be hindrances, depending on the situation). The Beast’s strength has dramatically increased in his animalistic form, enabling him to carry most furniture that would require at least two men to carry as if it were nothing (evident either in the smashed tables and knocked over chairs in the West Wing, or in his lifting Forte the organ in the Christmas midquel, if we should count that). Also to be noted are the claws and fangs he has acquired, which make ripping and attacking inanimate/animate beings much easier (see wolf scene). Unfortunately, almost all of his strengths lie in the physical, as mentally and emotionally, Beast is not a very strong individual. As previously mentioned, he relies all too much on others to solve his problems for him, so he’s never taken the time to strengthen any of his skills enough for them to even be considered “strengths”. Probably the most he has going for him in this regard is the fact that he cares enough to want to do better. It doesn’t come to him immediately, but it gradually seeps into his consciousness once he knows that improving himself will do him much better in the long run. He ultimately wants to improve because he knows that at least Belle appreciates it (and others, but it’s more evident with Belle). He figures that the two of them will at least get along better if he at least tries, and that’s bound to help something, right? Essentially, he has no personal strengths to speak of at present beyond his will to gain such strengths. And even that still needs much work.
Weaknesses: That big T word. He hears it all the time and he knows it’s true, but it’s a dangerous weakness. Yes, his temper is awful enough to rival Donald Duck’s, and many characters and not-so-locomotive items have been damaged mentally and physically by his uproars over particular circumstances. The result of these uproars is especially displayed in the West Wing, as the Beast’s headquarters reside there, where one would find an array of broken tables, shredded curtains, torn-up paintings, knocked-over tables… really, the hardest thing is trying to find something in the West Wing that hasn’t been abused. Additionally, there is the aforementioned inability to survive on his own. Oh, in the wild he’d probably do fine… no, the social world of humans is where he struggles the most. Without others’ guidance and support, he’d be left helpless and would simply not know how to react in any social situation. More often than he ever should have, he’s left all the social work up to his servants, and usually turns to them anyway whenever he is forced to socialise himself, leaving him to learn ultimately very little on how to be civil with others beyond the few details that he has been exposed to. His semi-illiteracy may also count, as it can leave him at a disadvantage among the more scholarly folk. His knowledge of the world outside the castle is additionally limited; his vocabulary is smaller than most as a result, and can place him at in an even more handicapped position when discussing his own culture, let alone others… even more complicated considering he’s from roughly the eighteenth century.

… A book. Really? This is what they give me to talk to others? A book? Don’t they know I can’t read? How am I supposed to get someone to read everything for me if I can’t even ask them to read it for me?
This must be some kind of sick joke. Great, that is just what I need - more enchantresses and sorcerers and what else making fun of me while I’m already looking like this! And now I have wings to go with it! They don’t even match my fur! I thought the fur on its own looked stupid, but this?!
Even this place is messed up. Well, some of it is normal enough, but… do most people really look like these ones? And do most worlds really talk into books… grr, and their animals talk! That’s not normal! What kind of a curse is this?!
… What are you looking at?! Wha… HEY! Did that bird just insult me?! Grrrrrrr, WILL YOU BE QUIET!
Third Person:
The room Beast is currently staying in is, needless to say, not in the greatest of shape. Clothes are all over the place, food scraps tossed spontaneously around the room, bed sheets strewn to the wall opposite of their original place from Beast struggling to figure out how to sleep in a way that would accommodate his… well, condition… and to speak of the overall cleanliness of the room is just asking for trouble. This whole living-on-his-own thing is turning out to be a lot harder than he thought… admittedly, he wasn’t really prepared for it in the first place, nor was he even planning on it, but… it looks so simple for everyone else! How was he to know?
Though to be fair, nobody really plans on getting dropped into Luceti. Getting ripped from your usual homestead isn’t fun for any individual, but not everyone has been isolated in said homestead like the Beast has. Even in the outdoor portion of Luceti, where there’s a forest that can easily remind him of the dark woods close to his castle, Beast felt like a mole leaving the ground for the first time; so many things so unfamiliar to him in this world, so many strange people and dress, so many phrases and objects and tasks that he never even knew existed… for all he knows, maybe these are all in his world, too, and he’s just never been able to find out beyond the occasional mirror-sight-seeing. Either way… to make a longer story short, it’s not as easy for Beast to accustom himself to these surroundings after spending practically a lifetime in the exact same building with no outside knowledge. Beyond taking care of himself, he still hasn’t even been able to figure out the guide his journal provides, because he has not taken the time to get out of his room and ask somebody for help.
He knows he will have to sometime… he’s soon going to have to overcome all that awkward social stuff so he can stay here at least a little more peacefully (and possibly get himself a maid). But how does one pose that? Sure, it doesn’t have to require reading abilities, but are there really many maids and servants in this world? How will he even be able to tell them that’s what he wants? He’s never heard of posts before, how does he know there isn’t some sort of special method he needs to follow in order to get everyone to even pay attention to him?
Things were so simple at home - just yell out a name and they come and all is done - but Beast has already figured out that declaring his status around here doesn’t really mean much. No, he has a hunch that this is going to need more than his usual demanding fanfare before he’ll get anything useful…
