First Person:
A forest setting… is this Konoha?
*carefully scrutinizes her surroundings*
Mmm… probably not. I don’t sense any chakra signatures. So then… where am I?
*grimaces in pain*
Oh, my back… it still hurts. I can’t remember what happened to me… Maybe I was attacked.
*locates her Chunin garb nearby*
There they are…! Finally. I feel cold with the open back. Who in the world changed my clothes during the night, anyway? It better not have been a pervert.
*bends down to pick the outfit up from a rock, checking over her supplies*
Well, everything is here except for my weapons pouch. Darn it… I need my compass to find a way out of this forest.
*releases a heavy sigh as she starts to slip on her shinobi attire, but the vest will not go on*
…Something doesn’t feel right.
Third Person:
The searing pain in her back abruptly jolted the girl to awareness. The sharp burning sensation almost made her wish she could delve right back into the realm of unconsciousness, where she wouldn’t have to endure such an unpleasant feeling. Wanting to find the source of her extreme discomfort, Matsuri gritted her teeth in effort as she creaked her eyes open and slowly rose to her feet. The first thing she noticed was the bright green shade all around her, which was a vast difference from the beige sea of sand in the heated, windy desert. After shaking the brief bout of disorientation free from her senses, she immediately grasped at her waist, where her weapons pouch was usually latched, but found nothing there.
Gasping in surprise, Matsuri glanced down at the empty space and wondered if she had been robbed prior to being knocked unconscious. She didn’t remember getting into a fight recently… and in fact, the last thing she could recall was being at home, back in the Hidden Sand Village. The girl had been in her own room, planning the next day’s events in her mind, and then gotten ready to go to sleep as the hour grew late. Nothing out of the ordinary had occurred, and if this was a dream, then the settings were far too realistic for her liking. The tall trees surrounding her and obscuring her view did not look fake one bit, and when Matsuri inhaled one shaky breath, she absorbed the brisk dewy scent of the forest.
Wait… this isn’t mine. She was accustomed to wearing nightgowns to bed, but she certainly didn’t own any white sundresses… and especially not one that was backless. The girl realized that particular aspect when a cool breeze glided across her bare skin and caused her to shiver. Without any of her weapons or her regular Chunin outfit, Matsuri felt rather vulnerable, as the majority of her techniques relied on usage of her rope dart. Had someone kidnapped her from home sometime during the night and taken her to this foreign place? It was possible, but the scenario itself seemed highly unlikely, since she was a kunoichi and learned from her sensei to stay on-guard at all times, even in settings that were supposedly safe, but then what else could explain her current predicament?
Regardless of the disadvantages in her present circumstances, she had to try her best to find a few answers to the many questions fervently sweeping through her mind.
