I have been working at the ice cream shop for awhile now but- [ His voice turns sheepish, clueless even before getting the nerve to continue. ] -but for some reason the money in my tip bottle keeps disappearing. I'm not sure why, and I'm not blaming anyone but-

Yeah, it did. I would look away for just a minute and then all of sudden my money was gone.

How am I suppose to get a pet now?

It's likely someone took it. [Sighs softly.] If you knew the culprit, perhaps I could help...

[Vincent pauses.] A pet?

I have a feeling I know who it is, but- [ Another sheepish pause. Shifting... shifting... ] -I guess it wouldn't be right for me to jump to conclusions.

Uh-- yeah. I found out there's a pet store here and I wanna get one! Maybe a cat or fish or something!

[Vincent chuckles.] Well, there's one way to find out. You just need time to see if that person has it, right? If this person were to say... fall asleep... for some time, you could do a proper investigation without interference... right?

Oh? A cat might be nice. They're such affectionate creatures. Cute too.

I guess you're right. But... how would I do that? I mean-- sneaking into someone's apartment at night? They might wake up and find me! [ That is, if Vanitas even went to sleep. He never knew about that darkness dude. ]

They are really cute! I think I really want to get one.

You'd just need a little help to make sure that they don't. I wouldn't mind helping. And neither would Yamane.

That makes sense. That will hopefully allow us to make sure that if there's anyone staying with him, Yamane can put them to sleep for the time being as well.
