Who: Vincent and Gilbert Nightray; [needsnosanity ] and [gunnedraven ]
What: The Distortion finally gets to Vincent and he attempts to relieve himself of his stigma once and for all... by force.
When: August 27th, evening
Where: Vincent's room

No one was back yet. Perfect.

Everyone told him to be careful. He knew it was dangerous out there at times like this. Even so, he'd gone. And he'd seen things. Horrible things. The monsters had peered right into his soul and saw the things that no one was supposed to know. They had taken his sins and turned them on him. They'd reminded him of his greatest sin.

But he could still fix it. Even if his existance had been one disaster after another until now - even if he'd caused misfortune for everyone at every turn - he could still right the wrong and destroy the evil. All he had to do was remove the curse.

It was just a matter of ripping out the stigma that had plagued him all his life. It was so simple. Beautifully so. Why hadn't he considered it sooner? He'd never faced his karma before, that's why. But... all he had to do was tear out the wretched red orb and crush it, and the curse could finally die. He'd no longer be the 'Bringer of Misfortune', feared, shunned and hated by all. He'd no longer be the cause of his brother's continued anguish and despair. It could end. It could all end.

The blonde turned off all the lights and, on shaky feet, dragged himself through the darkness to his bed. Crawling on it, he sat there, in the dark, trembling.

Was it fear...? Or excitement?

Even he didn't know, as he raised a hand to his right eye, fingers ghosting over the skin over the blood red eye. Fingers tensing, he couldn't help it. The monsters made him face that wicked karma of his. When he closed his eyes, he saw memories. Too many painful memories. His hand tensed, leaving small scratches all around his eye. But each memory was worse than the last, and it wasn't long before he just wanted it to all end.

He could end it all here.
