#63: c-c-c-combo, week 5 of pokewalker [52093 total watts this past midnight, 1103153 total steps]
Amid recent occurrences I'm glad to have what I have. Seeing folks stranded at airports makes me feel lucky to be where I'm at. Here's hoping things clear up ...
I've been experiencing The Worst Internet Ever, being a fake DJ and increasing numbers, catching up with folks, and leapfrogging from game to game. I think it's been about six months since I've drawn something (not counting application storyboards) ... something to catch up on, perhaps? But as for now I've got fourteen shots spanning toys and games and what have you:
I haven't been to an Islands restaurant in years -- maybe I should go more often because this burger dominated me! The bacon and bleu cheese probably tacked on some fat but I guess my skinny ass could use it anyway lolol
On Thursday -- thirty-one days since the March 14th release -- I completed the Pokedex in Pokemon Soul Silver via trades, transfers from Emerald, hatching, and leveling. Completing the dex this time was easier than completing Pearl two years ago as I already possessed evolved Pokemon to trade and other version exclusives on hand. But it was still amusing to complete it again -- I dig these quirky designs and straightforward gameplay and I wouldn't bother otherwise.
The DSiWare title AlphaBounce came out this week and I tried it out on a whim. I was curious about whether it infused Breakout style mechanics with role-playing elements like it claims it does. While customizing your paddle/ball and choosing destinations is vaguely interesting, the game becomes dull as it dispenses insane amounts of powerups like what you see here. The game might as well be playing itself!

Seeing this case of Deja Vu was odd ... but it still brought a smile to my face lol
If I could read Japanese I imagine I'd get a kick out of this book -- spam legendary Pokemon everywhere for the win?

I actually hadn't noticed this at the local hobby store until my pal pointed it out. Twilight bandages -- is there no end to this marketing machine?! I'd rather take have an open cut than use one of those!
Packaging fail
I was vaguely amused by how the piece size is displayed right on the box -- but alas, I'm afraid it's far a bit too big for me to remotely care!
I'm trying to get the remaining achievements stars on my gamercard in Soul Silver but this punk tried to impede my progress in the Pokeathlon. But it was still funny having tied times during a Hurdle Dash -- low, low chances?
As you can see this is the depths of what Pokemon has stooped to! It now supports Trophies! You can't escape them no matter where you go!
I returned to the 360's legit MAME Game Room after putting it down for a while and glanced over my virtual machines when I saw one avatar standing out of line. What could he be doing?!
My Game Room efforts temporarily grinded to a standstill when the 360 keep freezing each time I got a Time Spender medal in Red Baron. Fortunately Game Room rebuilds saves with most progress intact but it was still a bit freaky seeing this multiple times in succession. I returned to Red Baron after getting some other medals and it froze again yet kept my progress -- best software ever?
