Hey, how's it going? I'm, well, kind of pissed off. I was having a great day until I got home. And upon getting home, I found out that my student loan is going to be at least another month getting here. #$%@#$%*!!!!! Damn Financial Aid Center! See, since the letter Windjammer sent in had my gross pay on it, not my net pay (or maybe it's the other way around...), I now have to wait another month, added on to the two I've been waiting already. They also decided (to make me even happier) that they are going to reassess the amount, too. Since I am living at home instead of getting an apartment, I get less money (it's not like I'm paying interest on it or anything!). And since Windjammer selected a certain kind of pay to write in the letter (both being clearly written on the loan application), I don't get to pay tuition. Which, by the way, is due Wednesday. #$%*%$!!!!
So yeah. Tomorrow I now get to go to the bank and see if I can get another bank loan (to add on to the $9000 bank debt I already have). Great.
Anyway. Besides that, like I said, I had a pretty good day. I finally saw Will, for the first time since November, and it was really nice to talk to him. He was so excited to see me, he ran out of a class on the third floor of crabtree when he saw me walking by (I was outside). What a nut. :) And I was talking to Jodi Hawkes, too, who I haven't seen since September! It was great to talk to her, and catch up on the news. And, I made it to all my classes in spite of add/drop, and most of them weren't too bad (it really helps when you actually do your homework). And then I managed to drop my horrible Japanese history course (he wanted us to buy three more textbooks--a grand total of over $200), and I actually remembered to do my guinea-pigging for psych (I got to fill out half an hour's worth of exciting surveys). And in my German lab we learned animal names and sounds (did you know that a ram--ein Bock--meckt? And a toad--eine Krote--quakt? Crazy Germans). Needless to say it ended up being really funny. Renata didn't know what any of the animal sounds were in English (not that we think toads usually make a lot of noise) and ended up spending a lot of the lab going "miaut miaut" and "quiekt quiekt" (that's the sound a hedgehog makes by the way [???]). So we ended up laughing the whole class, and tried not to make too much fun of her. :)
And now that I think about it, my weekend was pretty good too. On Friday I just stayed at Joe's and watched tv (there wasn't really much going on because of the snow) but it was nice. He rented the Harry Potter game, which was actually a lot of fun to watch (yes I know I'm lame). And on Saturday we ended up going out with Lacie and Terry. I thought it was going to be pretty bad (Larry had four extra people coming down from Moncton just to play bluegrass) but surprisingly it was a lot of fun. I met a couple new people who seemed really nice, and talked to them for quite a while. And the music was a lot better this time (although I have discovered that only ten different bluegrass songs exist, and they must be played over and over). I think the only bad parts were Joey getting punched in the face (twice) over an armwrestle (don't ask) and the monstrous hangover. Apparently you are not supposed to mix Canadian, Alpine, Bud, and Schooner (or any different kinds of beer for that matter) all together at once. I did not know this, and did I ever suffer for it. :(
Anyway that's about it, really. I've been going on for quite some time now :) so I think I'll go pig out and watch some tv. Talk to yas later! :)
