Warmth! - Traverse Town- Cafe [Complete]

Selphie jogged with her friends to the front of the cafe. She kept staring at the fog her breath made every time she exhaled. Her body felt a little numb from being so cold, so she sighed with satisfaction as she opened the door and felt a puff of warm air hit her face

Rikku thrusted herself into the warm Cafe and looked around. She didn't she her new semi-metallic friend. "Nope, I don't see him, but that doesn't mean that we can't enjoy the nice warm Cafe while we wait!" Rikku finally said cheerfully. She skipped happily over to a table by the window so she could watch the white flurry snow fall. She was begining to feel like a regular, and this new world didn't so big and scary. She pulled out her journal and quickly joted down a note about Faye and everything else that had happened. Soon Rikku signaled to waiter and asked for some tea for her and her friends.

"I hope Ed and his friends get here soon," Rikku said taking a sip of her tea." I want to get to a warmer world," She bean thinking of everything that had happened. She wondered who else they would meet. She stared at her tea, she thought of Riku and Kairi. They had found each other so the universe couldn't be that big...Maybe Selphie should have invited Riku to go with them. Maybe she should have invited Faye...Nah. The Gummi ship wasn't that big...was it? How many people could they take with them? How many friends would Ed be bringing.

Soon the questions were too much and Rikku had to shake her head to bring herself back to reality. She smiled at her companions and took and another sip of tea,"We've been here too long. I hope the next world is warm..."

Yuna was very happy to be back in the cafe, the only place in this world that gave her a since of comfort. Joining her freinds at the table Yuna too lookded for Ed. Remembering all that Ed had told her about this world Yuna couldn't help but be a little concerned; she hoped nothing had happened to Ed or his freinds.

"Rikku when did you steel that potion from me?" Yuna really didn't care she was use to Rikku swiping things from her, but this at least offered conversation until Ed arrived.

Selphie took a cautious sip of her tea. She let the hot liquid warm her up as she took bigger and bigger sips. "This tea is delicious!" she said to herself.

"Oh, I don't know, I think I could stay here for a little while longer to explore. But I really do want to see other worlds, so I can't wait to leave!" Selphie made it a point to keep reminding herself to get her journal when they got back on the ship, so she could try to ask Riku where Kairi was. She wanted desperately to see her again, and to make sure she was all right.

Rikku stared blankly at her tea, "Oh Yunie, I'm sure yuo are used to me sneaking an item here and there. I took it on the Gummi shipwhen you weren't looking. You know just in case," Rikku couldn't stop thinking of Ed. Had he found his friends? Were they ok? She continued very monotone,"I hope Ed gets here soon," She shook her head and smiled at her friends and continued in her normal cheerful voice."I really want to meet these friends of his."

"Maybe we're early?" Yuna suggested, she still wasn't sure how time worked here, so there was a good chance that there were too early. Yuna sipped her tea, and glanced around the room there were a lot more people here now then the 1st time they were in here. Yuna was starting to get really excited about leaving here and seeing new places as well. But where would they go next?

"Rikku, do you still have Aydin's journal on you? We should plan where to go next." Yuna hoped this would kill time until Ed and his friends arrived.

"What are you, a thief?" Selphie teased Rikku, giggling.

She went to take another sip of her tea, and realized she already drank it all.

Yuna's mention of time got Selphie thinking. "Night time lasts really long here. I wonder when the sun will come up? I bet this places looks beautiful in the light!"

"Yeah, kinda," Rikku replied to Selphie's teasing as she took a sip of her tea and tossed Selphie's sketchbook back to her,"But I usually give thing back," She teased smiling.

Come to think of it, it had been night for quite a while now. How was anyone supposed to tell when one day ended and the next began around here?"Well maybe we are early, at least we can plan." Rikku said calmly putting her tea cup down and pulling out Aydin's journal,"Yeah Yunie, I have Aydin's journal. I think we should go to that Hallow place that Aydin told me about."

Yuna was a little surprised when Rikku tossed Selphie's sketchbook back, since Yuna didn't remember her taking it. Then Yuna realized Rikku must have swiped it when Selphie wasn't looking.

Yuna slid Aydin's journal towards her and flipped through it until she came to Hollow Bastin's page. Yuna rested her head on her up raised hand as she read.

"I wonder it this is where Sora is? Hollow Bastin is the head quarter for the war against the heartless." Yuna asked.

"Hey!" Selphie exclaimed as her sketchbook was tossed back to her. She laughed, not believing she hadn't even noticed that it was missing.

Having her sketchbook in front of her now, Selphie flipped to the first blank page, the one that had the rip in it from when she wrote her journal name for Riku and Naminé. She started sketching a made-up animal with a torn piece of paper in its mouth, so that it looked like it had taken a bite out of the page. Cheesy, she knew, but she was amused by it nonetheless.

"What makes you think Sora's there? That would be neat if he was, though. Maybe Kairi's there, too? I can't wait to see the both of them again!"

Selphie wished she knew more about what was going on. She had heard the word 'heartless' several times already, and she still didn't know what it meant, really. And now apparently there was a war against it? She didn't want to voice her confusion and sound stupid in front of her friends, so she kept her mouth shut for the time being.

Rikku giggled at her compainions reactions, and she leaned over to watch Selphie sketch.

"That place is as good a place as any to start looking for them I guess," Rikku said continuing to stare at Selphie's sketching. " I don't care where we go as long as it's fun and I can meet more people to get their stories...like Ed," She continued as she looked up and looked around. "I hope he gets here soon."

"Something that the waitress said." Yuna said in response to Selphie question. "Hollow Bastin sound like a good place to start looking." Yuna slid the journal toward Selphie so she could see the drawing Aydin had made of a castle. "Sora has his own page too." She added. Yuna looked at Rikku, "I'm sure they will get here soon." She was trying to reassure Rikku, and her self.

Selphie looked at Yuna in confusion. "His own...page?" She quickly flipped through the book to find a page filled with information about Sora. What do all these things mean? Keyblade Master? Selphie shook her head, not understanding what she was reading. "Is...is Sora famous, or something?"

She turned to Rikku for a moment. "Hey Rikku, do you think we should go look for your friends? Maybe something happened to them..."

Rikku stared blankly at Selphie,"Yeah Sora is kinda famous I guess. He has this thing called a keyblade. Apparently you can't eat it." Rikku began to explain while rolling her eyes. Then she began to think about Selphie's suggestion to go looking for their new companions.

Rikku took a sip of her tea, "No, I don't think that will be necessary. I mean we didn't really talk about how long it would take to find our friends." Thinking about this she turned to Yuna,"Right Yunie? Or do you think we should go looking for them?"
