Considering the past history he had with Axel, he should have been much more bothered by the fact that his best friend had just left him alone with the man. Instead, he was surprisingly calm. As long as he wasn't caged in those white walls, he figured he could take care of himself. He wasn't about to take candy from any more strangers, after all. If nothing else, Zack learned his lesson.
Then again, he was definitely without any sort of weapon. Regardless, he didn't mind. He doubted Axel wanted to do anything harmful to him. His mark had already been left in the form of black feathers. As if responding to the thought, he allowed his wing to stretch out, reminding the nobody that he had already taken enough from him. He felt something surge within his chest, but he ignored it. This was becoming commonplace, like an itch that never went away. He could handle it.
It was something of a face-off. He stared down the man, wondering if he was ready for the reunion. Then, a thought hit him. Axel still had something of his. He tilted his head, prepared to speak, until he felt something wet touch at his cheek.
His head hinged to watch snowflakes drift down. That had come out of nowhere, but he found it almost comforting. It had snowed sometimes, back home. One gloved hand reached forward to collect a few of the white flakes and he couldn't stop a small smile from forming at his lips. He would have to organize some sort of snowball fight between friends later.
For now, Axel. Wondering how the redhead was dealing with the sudden drop in temperature, considering his base element, he took a few steps forward. "I need my journal back," he stated, cheeks colored somewhat from the frigid cold.
