You Suck -- Traverse Town [Closed]

“Did you know that strawberries were once actually believed to be a cure for gout and kidney stones…?” That little piece of information was shared to the bartender of that bar he had previously been in with Reno, the man simply choosing to ignore Axel and busied himself with wiping the moisture off a glass

The nobody, meanwhile, had his elbows resting on the counter; back arched upwards from the stool he sat on with a small bowl of the aforementioned red fruit right in front of him.

“And did you know that I’ve actually had better…?”

“What do you expect from a bar?” The bartender grunted, lowering his glass and gave Axel a disapproving look.

The redhead only continued to examine the fruit pinched in his fingertips.

“I don’t know,” An answer was finally spoken, those green eyes ascending up to the man with feigning interest. “Something that doesn't have a hint of crap in its taste, perhaps?”

“Why don’t you bring your own if you don’t fancy mine?”

Axel faked a frown.

“Then why would I be here in the first place?”

“To buy drinks?”

“But I’m not thirsty.” Axel replied with mock emphasis. Popping the sweet fruit into his mouth, the nobody reached forward to curl his arm over the bowl and slid it towards his chest. With a final smirk Axel stood up, grip on the bowl tightening as he hopped off the stool and meandered towards the door.

He simply decided to ignore the man’s shouts as he left.

A bill? What on Kingdom Hearts was the man talking about?

Yet stepping out of the building was an action he’d soon regret; for there wasn’t much else to do in Traverse except to shed off all the calories from drinking.

Such a lively little place to be in, no?

Picking up another strawberry Axel bit into the fruit, juice spurting out from the crevices of his teeth. The liquid dribbled down his chin, and a gloved hand quickly wiped it away to promptly insert it into his mouth to suck it up.

Yup, tasted like crap.

The Night seemed meaningless. His straggled walk had lead him back into the square of the first district, right in the same spot where he had been before. Thoughts of the fragile woman he had met earlier floated into his mind, though was quickly dispersed when he took one more gluttonous bite from a strawberry.

“…” Quickly marching to where the mailbox was, Axel didn’t bother to check if there was anyone around before he practically shoved the bowl half filled with strawberries right into the opening.

The day was going to be very long.

... And yet he wished for it to be longer.
