So Here we are...[Traverse Town-closed]

Rikku placed Aydin’s journal on her lap. She had spent the entire night reading about what Aydin had to say about Traverse town. She pulled out her own journal and decided that she would keep her own record of the worlds she and Yuna were to visit. She was different now, so much had changed in so little time, and Rikku did not have her sunny disposition at the moment. There was just too much to worry about. Selphie had left the ship, not that Rikku could blame her, and Aydin’s death was still fresh in her mind. She glanced over at control panel of the Gummi ship. Stupid Aydin. Why did he have to go and die? Now there was a cloud over her head. She had never seen anyone die before and the thought of losing Yuna was becoming too much to bear. She couldn’t think of that at the moment though. She had finally got what she wanted which was to leave the island, now it was too late to regret anything. Besides, if Yuna knew that anything was bothering Rikku it was almost certain that she would begin to inquire what was wrong and Rikku couldn’t have that. Picking up Aydin’s journal Rikku read to herself:

“Traverse town is a City of lights. This is where Anne is from; her home is in the Second District. Be sure to take her home before you do anything else. Trust me this place is always awake so there will always someplace you can go. People from all over end up here, the city caters to refugees, so you will more than likely be able to hear stories about the places in this journal.”

She placed the journal on her lap again; this was the third time she had read this section of Aydin’s journal. She switched over to her own journal and copied the sentences in her own journal. She looked up at the ceiling. She had to know. She had to know what was out there.

rikku, yuna
