Aerith's emerald eyes hardened, all but glaring at the door to Sephiroth's room. What could the general possibly have been doing in there all that time? Had he somehow lost his notes since the last time she'd seen him? She found it extremely hard to believe that the infamous General Sephiroth, of whom her adopted father had spoken of so fondly, could possibly misplace such important notes or forget that he'd left two companions just standing in the hallway for so long.
To knock or not to knock? The old Aerith probably would've just barged into the room without a second thought; it was awfully rude to keep people waiting for so long without an explanation, after all. However, Sephiroth had expressed his desire for uninterrupted privacy pretty clearly, and, even if he was being rude, the flower girl knew by now that responding in the same manner would be just as bad. Yes, it would be best to knock.
"Hey! Are you alright, Sephiroth?" she called clearly, knocking sharply on the door.
