Electric Light -- Shinjuku [Closed]

Jul 25, 2005 21:42

Ginji's tan shoes hit the ground and slid a moment as he stopped running. He used the momentum to spin around and face the people that were supposed to be following him, hands already sizzling with electric light. He waited, and tugged his gloves down again. It was a little annoying that they moved so much over the course of the jobs he shared with Ban.

Ginji looked around a moment, frowning. This was Ban's plan, wasn't it? He was in the right spot... he hoped...

So why wasn't anything happening? Where was the car?

"Ban-chan? Is this another part of the plan you didn't tell me?" he asked into the empty and dark air. The darkness of the night seemed thicker than normal and Ginji stepped backwards as pairs of yellow eyes started to rise from the ground. "I guess not..." he continued and his voice grew a little more fearful. It was those strange creatures again.

As they became the little humanoid forms he was used to by now Ginji closer to the dim street light that lit the highway near by. "Don't come any closer, okay?" he said, warningly as he skin started sparking. The creatures ignored him, as always.

"I'm serious!" his voice grew in volume as he jumped backwards and his back pressed against the lamppost. Electricity surrounded the pole and entered him, powering him up even more as the creatures came forward.

The light burst and tiny shards of the glass split into the air and fell to the ground. It was too late for Ginji to realize that fighting shadows in the dark wasn't the best idea, but at least he could create his own light.

The very light he in had in mind exploded from his hands has the Heartless drew even nearer. His fingers pressed onto their cold heads and shot voltage through them. They disappeared into an odd mixture of smoke and colored light. Ginji flipped his body upwards to attack more of them.

Electricity skidded around the area, hardly breaking the darkness of the night. With each Heartless that he destroyed more appeared. Ginji spun around before the ones behind him could attack. He fought for what seemed like a long time, and still he made no progress.

"Please go away!" he yelled as more lightning shot from him into the dark shadows around. He knew they wouldn't listen, they hadn't before, and more of them appeared.

That's when Ginji realized he was running out of power. He looked around, attempted to find another source, but they were too far out of the city for him to attempt to pull it from walls or the ground. A claw came down on his shoulder and he cried out slightly.

"Ouch! That hurt!" he said in protest has he attacked the Heartless, but more slashes came.

Slowly they surrounded him and covered him and even as all he could see was their Darkness one word still escaped his lips.

"Ban-chan..."
