Her group was finally on their way to Hollow Bastion. Maybe Kairi was still there! And weren't there princesses on Hollow Bastion, too? This was so exciting!
She had already been in this gummi ship twice now, but the experience was still just as thrilling as the first time.
She was about to say something to the gang about how great this whole trip was, when a huge flash of light from outside caught her attention.
Selphie gasped in shock. Stars were streaking across the sky and disappearing! It was absolutely stunning. She had seen shooting stars before from back home, but nothing like this. This was one of the most beautiful things she had seen in her life.
So why did she feel this horrible sadness erupting from her heart? She felt a few tears drop onto her lap from her eyes. There was just this feeling of a complete loss of hope surrounding her.
After managing to pry herself away from the image, she looked around at Tidus, Yuna, and Rikku to see if they could feel what she felt.
