To the pirate, boats be boats. They all sailed back and fourth (some faster and plainly better than others) on the waves in the open sea. It was quite a new concept for a boat to sail so fast--but to sail upwards was unheard of

It was a new experience for all of them save for Touma, so while the space was cramped, Will was in a fantastic mood. It was strange that they would be leaving all familiar ground behind, but the thought of heading somewhere new and important was also rather exhilarating. Having craftily seated himself near the window, Will was pressed against the window, staring out at the ocean that was quickly growing farther and farther away.
As they flew higher into the sky, what would happen? The possibilities were dizzying.
Even though five of them were all in a confined space, no one seemed to be talking. Will turned from the window. Jack was busy with that monkey that had somehow sneaked on, Touma was piloting, and Norrington was brooding... Which left Elizabeth. She was his first choice for conversation, anyway.
"I never thought I'd go from being a blacksmith to doing something like this," he said with a boyish smile. He'd thought past events had made him mature, but when it came to something so new, so spectacular... Well, maybe he regressed a little.
There were no words Elizabeth could find to sum up the situation as she cautiously peered out the window. Higher and higher they went, until she could see all of Port Royal and the waters around it. It was dazzling. It was amazing. It was making Elizabeth just a tad queasy.
Taking that as a hint to take a break from the window, she dared to glance at each member, though they were all so close to one another it was hardly needed. She had only just begun examining the walls around them when she caught sight of a familiar furball.
"How did--" Elizabeth stopped, glaring at the monkey. No, there would probably be no answer to that question.
Will's excitement quickly pushed thoughts of the monkey away. Smiling, she chanced another peek out the window. "I never thought such a thing possible. We're flying!"
Even if it did make her a little dizzy, it was worth it.
The familiarity of piloting calmed Touma. Though he had a lot more people inside than he was used to, he couldn't just leave them to die in Port Royal.
With a quick confirmation of Hallow Bastion's coordinates, he turned Tenku in that direction. The sooner he got them to the safety of that world, the better. That it would be sooner for him to use their resources for his own research was...okay, it wasn't secondary. It was his main goal. His world still had hope....
He ignored the commotion behind him - something about a monkey. As long as it didn't chew on anything important, then he wasn't too concerned.
Something like this? Common sense said that flying above the surface without two feet planted was nothing to go on about! At least in the water there was.. well.. there be water. Up here it was a straight ticket from the sky ship to the grave.
The monkey did something in distracting Jack from his sky woes, though. The sticky fingered pirate slowly raised his hand, grabbing at the monkeys tail and catching it in his very fist before yanking the furry devil off is head. The equally sticky fingered monkey clung to the hat so that he took it with him as he was removed from the pirates crown, the furry rat dangled by the tail by Jack's hand as it clung to the pirates hat. "I always knew there were unsavory things to be picking up in that port town. Just never thought one would be a monkey." He frowned and ran his tongue over his teethe.
As came a habit for a Captain like he, Jack looked o'er the port-side for some way he could throw the monkey overboard. He was met with the most brilliant sight outside the porthole window: a big city with many little buildings and one big building to boot. A town! Never had he seen a place so vast. Disregarding the not-fear of the distance between himself and the ground, the vrijibuiter leaned near to the window for a closer look.
So maybe there was something to go on about after all.
This was an unconventional way to travel, but it was efficient. The sooner they arrived at their destination, the better, and beggars couldn't be choosers. With someone who was presumably more experienced navigating this time, it seemed reliable enough, even with certain 'unsavory things' nearby.
In fact, the view outside the ship had changed. There was a city, stretching out below - that was a little unusual, considering that port towns generally weren't as large as this. It seemed that they had travelled much further than expected in a surprisingly short amount of time. Then again, Touma's flying ship was just as unusual.
It didn't matter. Norrington briefly glanced away from the window and at his fellow passengers.
Will wasn't certain what Jack was doing with that monkey (which, if he recalled correctly, shared the pirate's name), but the fact that it had been clever enough to snatch the man's hat off his head caused him to smirk faintly.
He was distracted from making any sort of comment when a city he had never seen before came into view. While Will knew that he hadn't seen even close to the entirety of the world that he lived on, he couldn't imagine they were even on the same planet anymore. Touma had mentioned other worlds, but this was still managing to blow his mind. Who would have thought there were places besides the one he lived in?
Maybe it had been closed-minded to think that there weren't. He was just glad that he got to see it all now.
Glancing up at Touma, the only one who knew anything about this, he couldn't keep his enthusiasm out of his tone as he questioned him. "Is there where you're from, then?"
