The only noise that could be heard was that of the fountain trickling, water gently dropping into a stone basin. Glowing lights illuminated the otherwise dark district of the town, the gentle neon flickering every few moments. All was still, with the exception of the one figure, by the fountain.
Near the large doors leading towards the first district, the stone ground began to ripple. Then, from beneath the city, a bubble forced the stone to expand upwards, balloning towards the sky. It took the shape of a tall, thin oval, before melting away. Fai's form was revealed in the aftermath of the floor-shifting, his lean figure fattened slightly by the puffing of his long jacket. His hood remained shoruding his head, only a few tendrils of hair snaking out. His wand was still clutched in hand.
All in all, he looked extremely out of place in this cartoonish town.
He made his way down the steps and turned, so that his front was facing the stone fountain. The figure on the bench nearby...a...jester? Fai made his way slowly to the person, gracefully removing his hood with only one hand. He stopped some ten feet in front of the bench, and let out a warm smile.
"Hello, stranger," he said, his tone light and airy. "Perhaps you could tell this traveller where he's ended up...?"
