He didn't complain as he posted up the flyer. He didn’t mind doing things like this. He liked helping the war effort; that was the reason he had joined the military in the first place. The flyer had carefully printed messages on it, propaganda probably, but it was still important. It talked about joining the fight against the Heartless. He had

Hughes just wished they could have exchanged phone numbers or something, but with the way they'd been misplaced? The investigator sighed, wondering how long he'd have to deal with this uniform before it got old and dirty, wanting for a change.
He wondered if he'd have to wear a new color.
Hughes blinked at the sign that now hung in front of him, seeing that it was a pretty elaborate thing. Well, he figured, that could be as much of a good sign as it was a bad; good that they had enough resources to spend on such exorbitant advertisement, but bad that they'd feel the need to need so much propaganda in the first place.
Then again... Couldn't be much worse than back home, could it?
The lieutenant-colonel glanced down the street and, with some surprise, noticed that there was a man in some kind of uniform who was still putting them up. Hughes snatched the brochure hanging off the one nearest him, flipping through it as he made his way over to the soldier.
"Uh..." Hughes began, scratching the back of his head. "Do you work for the military in... is it Hollow Bastion?"

The soldier pulled one of his pamphlets from under his arm and handed it to the man, expecting him to ask for more information when some answers were inside of the words there. So far, he had gotten two people to speak to him without having to pester them, he felt a little proud and excited. Even one more solider was one more than they had before. The young enlisted man was careful to keep a professional demeanor though, it was important he keep the right impression.

The man tried to hand a brochure to him, and Hughes chuckled a little, holding up the pamphlet he'd found with the first flyer.
"That's fine, I already have one." The investigator glanced at the guy's uniform, wondering, with a certain strange feeling, if he'd have to change his usual blue attire to that kind. Well, it wouldn't be too bad, he guessed. (It'd at least diffuse the jokes about "skirts" that Amestrian military men tended to get from foreigners.)
"One question, though," Hughes said, voice suddenly serious. "Have you seen or heard of a man named Colonel Roy Mustang around?"

"Not that I know of," he responded, eyes narrowing. He looked back to the soldier. "I was hoping he'd made his way to Hollow Bastion, but... I guess not."
The lieutenant-colonel wasn't sure what to think of it, and tried not to focus so hard on what it could mean. He'd only been in this town a few hours, after all! And who knew? If Ed had shown up a week earlier, perhaps Roy would show up a week later.
"Oh, and one more thing..." Hughes began, searching for something on his person.
His hand suddenly shot up, picture between his fingers as he held it out.
"This gorgeous woman and the cutest little girl ever in front of her---now," Hughes looked up, light from the nearby street lamp sending a devious, almost vengeful glint across his glasses and obscuring his eyes, "you're sure you haven't somehow missed their radiant presence anywhere?"

"The little girl is very adorable," he could at least be honest about that. The girl was very cute and innocent seeming. It was hard to see such nice people who might be lost in the darkness.

Although the question of which planet Hughes might be referring to was a dubious one, he continued.
"Yes~! ADORABLE!" He pulled back his picture so he could stare at it with a stupid grin. "My little Elycia..."
