Recruitment -- Traverse Town [Open and Incomplete]

He didn't complain as he posted up the flyer. He didn’t mind doing things like this. He liked helping the war effort; that was the reason he had joined the military in the first place. The flyer had carefully printed messages on it, propaganda probably, but it was still important. It talked about joining the fight against the Heartless. He had ( Read more... )

The redhead decided that after being cooped up so long in a bar, that it was time to go get a little bit of fresh air. A couple minutes on Reno’s leisurely stroll, one of those said posters tumbled past and stuck to the ground under his feet. Out of sheer curiosity, and the fact that it was about the only flyer he had ever seen in the vicinity of Traverse town, it was snatched up. Some kinda recruitment for an army. "ShinRa has been the major backing for the Council for several years, sir," the soldier said. "They are always looking for people to join their ranks." He took out a clipboard from the papers tucked under his arms. "Please fill out these forms and we'll give you a seat on our transport."

The form was just some things to ask for their names, home world and other basic information. It was mostly formality. If this person already knew about ShinRa they probably already came from Hollow Bastion. "Rufus Shinra is the popular candidate to become leader of Hollow Bastion after the war," the solider added, mostly making conversation about a topic they both knew a bit about. Plus, maybe the red-head would like to know a bit about the politics of his home, if Hollow Bastion was indeed where he came from.

The clipboard was snatched with a little malevolence.

Paperwork. One of those things that he always managed to pawn off on other people in the Turks. He hadn’t had to do any in years. ..Suppose this could call to break that chain. He had to get back there after all.

The pen was cupped in his left hand only half listening to the recruiter. That was until a name caught his attention.“Rufus?” Finally things were starting to look up. “There any way I can meet with Mister ShinRa himself? Used to work for him.”

The solider blinked once. So, this person was from Hollow Bastion. "I'm sure something can be arranged once you are back at Hollow Bastion." He wasn't sure that was ture, but it would make sense of Mister ShinRa and this guy were friends.

"Right." Didn't know if a grunt could guarentee something like that, but it didn't hurt to try and ask. The clipboard was filled out, name, age, and all the rest of the required fields before he handed it back to the guy. "Guess I'll just hang around until that ship shows up." Didn't have anything to do around this place or at that bar. Waiting around wasn't a big deal considering this was a chance to get his job back.

Finally.
