christmas break
Today is the first day of classes back after Christmas break, so I thought i'd update everyone on my time off. Well, to be honest it wasn't all that exciting or great. Before Christmas I spent a few days with Joy S, Joy H, and Stacey. Then Saturday before Christmas Craig and Samantha came to our house. Robert and Shelley weren't coming until Christmas day, which Craig was angry about because he thought that if it was the year that they came to our house for Christmas then they should be here for more than a few hours. Samantha thinks he was just a little angry cause he wasn't going to get to see him for very long. He and Samantha went to our grandma's house early because they were spending christmas (day) night with Samantha's mom. Anyways, on Sunday I went to church and met my mom, dad, craig, and samantha at the new italian restaurant in chapin for lunch. Once we got there and saw that it was a Sunday brunch and mostly breakfast items we decided to go to Milano's instead. So, we packed in the car and drove to Milano's, had a nice lunch, and came back to our house. For the rest of the afternoon we just hung around, chatted, I premade the pies for christmas lunch, painted my toenails with Samantha and read magazines, and started a game of trivial pursuit with my mom, craig and samantha. Then when it got dark we all piled in the car to drive around and look at christmas lights. This was mostly to my mom's liking, and because of the fact that we missed going to see the zoo lights. When we came back we ate some taco soup my mom had made and my mom, craig, and samantha played a couple rounds of cranium. Around this time, my stomach started to feel a bit funny, but for the most part I felt okay and had a good time. Around 11pm or 12am we all went to bed and to my displeasure I woke up around 1:30am feeling horrible! I went to the bathroom and tried to relieve myself, but it didn't work. So I told my mom (who was trying to sleep in the den) that my stomach felt funny and she got me some pepto-bismol. Man that stuff is disguisting! Well, within minutes I was puke-ing and soon my tummy felt much better. So, i went back to bed. Then I woke up around 4:30am or so and was thirsty, so I went into the den/kitchen to get something to drink. My mom was still trying to sleep in there and she told me that now she didnt feel good either. I was like "well, i feel so much better now that i've puked" and went and got me a diet mt dew out of the fridge....yeah that was a BAD move, a very BAD move. After a little while I went back to bed and woke up again around 6:30 or 7am feeling bad again, and soon all the diet mt dew came up. Around 10:30am Robert, Shelley, Hannah, and Ally got to our house and we started opening presents. Well, when it got to my turn I decided to pick up one that looked like it was busting from the seams. I figured since it already was coming open, that I would open it first. I hadn't remembered seeing it under the tree (yeah, I still find all my presents under the tree and shake them to try to figure out what they are....lol). Well, when I opened it, it was a digital camera!!! I was so suprised and happy because I had told my mom I wanted a new one and she kept saying that mine worked fine and that I didn't need a new one, so I was not expecting it at all. That was definently the best part of christmas day! Hannah got some Wheely/Heely shoes that she was super excited about and both Hannah and Ally got American Girl dolls that look like them. We were planning on going to my grandmas house that afternoon, but since me and my mom were sick, we didn't go, which was very very sad. I think it was the first time I haven't been to my grandmas for christmas on christmas day since i was like 10 or 11, when we used to go to my dad's side of the family sometimes. Anyway, the next couple of days all I did was lay around, sleep, and watch tv. I even had to miss the sleepover thing me, stacey, brandi, and joy were going to have :( The rest of break, I didn't do much either. Spent some time with Joy H. and had a mom/daughter day of shopping. I got a really sweet hippie skirt at goodwill that i am super excited about. Well, today is the first day of classes, and I have to go to biology now, so yeah, i think i'll go do that....
