Catching up

So I guess it's been a little while since my last update. But, now that I am back in school, I'll try and use some of my class time to update occasionally. So, what's happened since the last time I wrote?

1. I worked (and occasionally still do) at Cabela's. It really has been an awesome job. There's the typical bs that you have to put up with as with any job, but it's been like a kid getting to work in a candy store. It is very possible that I've spend more than what I've made, but that's because we get a pretty good discount on a lot of stuff. Plus, I have needed to buy a lot of hunting gear after moving out here, so it works out well.

2. School has started back up. For me, this semester is pretty intense as there is a lot of reading and the courses will mean a lot to me in the future. Also, I found out that I will probably be comping (aka taking comprehensive exams) in the summer, which is about a semester sooner than I expected, so I'm nervous already.
For Hannah, school has taken up almost all of her time, so it's good that she's busy with something that she enjoys (as much as you can enjoy law school).

3. We live in Topeka now instead of Lawrence. The city isn't as cool, it's a little "dirtier", a little more crime, but we live in a great neighborhood and the rent is super cheap. We have a 3 bedroom house that also has a huge dining room and living room. The kitchen is alright. The best part is that there are washer/dryer hookups so we can do our own laundry. This may sound lame, but after doing your laundry at a damn laundromat for a year, trust me, it's something to rejoice over. Also, we have a fenced-in yard which Madison (the dog) loves. That needed clarification because we also have a cat who is technically called Madison but mostly we call her cat, or bitch, depending on if it's me or Hannah calling her.

4. I got a new macbook. I wasn't as excited about it as I thought I would be because I basically was forced to buy a new computer (the older one refuses to turn on and school was starting) but it's pretty cool. The built-in isight camera rocks. If you are on aim, I can show you video and sound. If you have a macbook or macbook pro, we can have a video conference where we just talk. It rocks.

5. My sister's wedding is soon. The last Friday in September actually. It'll be awesome because it's in Myrtle Beach, so travelling to someplace warm with the beach there will be welcomed. I suppose I'll write about it on here afterwards.

Other than that, life has just been busy with mundane activities (such as reading Mead for tomorrow's class). I'll update as new stuff happens.
