We're moved out. But we are not yet moved in to our new apartment. We won't be able to do so until June 30th, which means my husband and I (and the cats) are crashing with his parents for a bit. It's pretty good, except they're in the middle of remodeling their kitchen so we're left without an oven or stove currently! :P
Last night we had a bit of a scare, though. There we were at Walmart buying some new canned cat food, and the cashier rings up the box and tells us she can't sell it to us. We find out it's because of a recall. That was rather alarming to hear, as pet food recalls can be seriously bad news. D:
And then we had to sit there for a good twenty minutes while she got the manager to void the item, while I was trying not to worry about what this recall might be for. Finally get home, without food of course, and find out...the recall was not for anything found in the food, but rather a lack of something. Not enough B vitamins, and so some of the cats eating just that food were suffering from a deficiency. This...was a huge relief to me, because out cats also get dry food, and so they're fine. Also since a lack of something isn't nearly as alarming as, say, finding out there was something toxic in the food!
We're trying them on some new food, though...because I've been meaning to switch to a higher quality canned food anyway. XD They really seem to like the one we bought at Petco today. :P
The recall is on Iams canned food, for anyone curious who hasn't heard about it.
Tomorrow is my birthday! I'm gonna be twenty-fricking-five. ._.;; I feel old now.
