Percy, actually joking! Loved the banter between Percy and Fred...except, of course, that moment was totally ruined by what came later.

He read the letter again, but could not take in any more meaning than he had done the first time, and was reduced to staring at the handwriting itself. She had made her "g"s the same way he did: He searched through the letter for every one of them, and each felt like a friendly little wave glimpsed from behind a veil. The letter was an incredible treasure, proof that Lily Potter had lived, really lived, that her warm hand had once moved across this parchment, tracing ink into these letters, these words, words about him, Harry, her son. I just loved the focus on the "g"s, how it was like a friendly wave from behind a 'veil.'

Ron can be so amusing at times. I think this blunder was a good thing...he certainly got into the role! While it was quite funny...it was serious at the same time since her fate was in his hands.
Luna had decorated her bedroom ceiling with five beautifully painted faces: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Neville. They were not moving as the portraits at Hogwarts moved, but there was a certain magic about them all the same: Harry thought they breathed. What appeared to be fine golden chains wove around the pictures, linking them together, but after examining them for a minute or so, Harry realized that the chains were actually one word, repeated a thousand times in golden ink: friends...friends...friends...

I loved this because Ron was asking Hermione the same question in Book One when she was struggling with the devil's snare. What a turn of events! Hermione's certainly grown to think like a witch.
But he was home. Hogwarts was the first and best home he had known. He and Voldemort and Snape, the abandoned boys, had all found home here...(697)

Some more musings on the book:
♠ I wondered, does having a different wand make certain spells easier? Harry used Imperio so easily on the goblin and Travers. I'm sure he never used it before. But then, it's probably because he really meant it. (Though I was thinking about how Draco used Imperio on Rosmerta for the entire school year...that must take some maintaining! And since it was his wand that Harry used...) (533)
♠ *snorts* Oh dear. Polyjuice potion tastes different depending on who they're disguising themselves as. That's kind of funny. Harry's potion apparently looks like it tastes nice (50) while Crabbe and Goyle's looked like bogies. Bellatrix tastes disgusting (523). I can see how fans will play with this! (I wonder if the taste has to do with how 'good' the person is?)
♠ I thought the "Snape-shaped hole in the window" (600) bit was a really funny description. *sigh* Snape was asking for Harry when he was speaking with McGonagall...I wish things had gone better then.
♠ The Gray Lady and the Bloody Baron. Ahaha, knew they had something to do with each other!
♠ If Draco hadn't been alive, did that mean that Narcissa would have given Harry away just like that? Well, it's a good thing Draco survived! (726)
