Christmas Wishlist '06
Step One
- Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your flist (or friend’s friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

The Wishlist: (it's still quite similar to last year's!)
- fishbone related stuff. :D I have fishbone necklaces, ring, pen, CD holder, bracelet, earrings, cell phone straps, ribbon, and probably some other stuff that I don't remember off the top of my head, but anyway, I adore anything fishbone related. I would love a fishbone t-shirt. Or simply a fishbone icon. Or fishbone wallpaper. Or a new fishbone layout. Just to name a few. XD;;
- a paid LJ account. Because I need more than 6 icon spaces for all of my fishbone icons!!
- gen fanfic for Prince of Tennis (Ryoma, Yuuta, or any of the Rikkai team), Hikaru no Go (Touya Akira, Mitani, Akari), Harry Potter (Remus, Draco), Yu Yu Hakusho (Kurama and his family), Fire Emblem (Erk, Matthew, Chad, Lugh, Ray), Suikoden (Luc, Sasarai, Jacques, Viki), Wild Arms (Tim, Arnaud) or any of the series I have in my interests. Characters in parenthesis are the ones I particularly like reading about. Recs would be good too.
- any fanwork (fic, art, icons, wallpaper, etc.) for the not as well known (or not known at all!) series that I adore: Mekakushi no Kuni (Namiki!!), Penguin Revolution (all three main characters and Narazaki), Dear Boys (Fuse~), Hungry Heart Wild Striker, Kara no Teikoku [Empty Empire] (Rose~), Uninhabited Planet Survive, Mintna Bokura (Noeru), Zig Zag [by Nakaji Yuki], La Corda D'Oro (Hihara-senpai!! Tsuchiara), Suzuka, Tide Line Blue, etc. I know I can think of more.
- crossover fic. I love crossover fics.
- a spam party for the holidays. If I make a post asking for you to spam me, will you? :3 *was always afraid of making such a post in case she falls short of the goal by far*
- Snail-mail for me. (My post calling for card recipients is here if you've missed it.)
- My expensive wishes, also known as wistful wishes: Amazon wishlist. Amazon JP wishlist. Includes quite a lot of video games, consoles, manga, and 2007 calendars. *sigh* Is ordering from Amazon JP expensive? Seems like shipping and handling is quite a terror. I've never tried ordering from there before. I'm amazed at the # of games and stuff that I want. It's not possible to play and finish that many games after all. There just isn't time!
- And that brings me to my last point. Time. D= Lots and lots of free time to do stuff would be soo nice.
