I've always wondered about the language thing too, it's really tricky when you're trying to write an AU and have to keep the characters from originating from their own country.

Haha, for some reason, everyone in anime just immediately know how to speak Japanese, though almost never the other way around.

And it seems like in fic...most characters end up not even have a nationality...just to make things easier. ^^;;

As to where I was...just lurking around. And having horrible writer's block. I've started a lot of fics and just ended up deleting most of it, or deeming them not worthy to be posted. I've finally started planning the next parts for Twin Stars though, after this loooong hiatus. ^^;;
