Legend of Sun Knight cell phone game
Wow, my last update was before Fanime. What can I say... After Fanime, it was crunch time at work, and now that I'm on vacation, I've been marathoning Miraculous Ladybug (got curious after standing in line for an autograph from Cristina Vee for jen_kat) and reading a whole ton of Miraculous Ladybug fanfics. I do very much love secret identities and secrets. Marinette and Adrien as Ladybug and Chat Noir really have that trope down, hahaha, and a ton of the fanfics are all about identity reveal. I love it. (Also Adrien is cute. Magical catboy transformation even. I was completely won over after seeing his transformation lolol)
I have some pics from Fanime I should post before Anime Expo, which starts next week. :3; I haven't made any new cosplays, but I did order one for the first time. Not sure it's going to arrive in time though. I decided fairly late, so I might just cosplay Sun for three days. My dad is starting to make me a Divine Sun Sword. But... only 5 days left until AX, ahaha. I bought tickets for Anisong World Matsuri Super Live (featuring Eir Aoi, JAM Project, Luna Haruna, Minami, Sphere, T.M. Revolution, Yoko Ishida, DJ Kazu) and Anisong World Matsuri Band Battle (Old Codex VS Jam Project). Really looking forward to those two concerts at AX. :D ALSO, SUWABE JUNICHI is coming to AX, ahhhhhh. I hope I can at least make it to his panel, but I bet it will be very, very crowded. Time to prepare for long lines...
Anyway, this post was supposed to be about the LSK cell phone game, haha. The LSK cell phone game is out~~. It's 30 TWD, less than $1 USD, which isn't very expensive at all, but it's sure difficult to pay for it... Need a Taiwan bank account or credit card + cell phone number. Took me quite a long time before I could get it to work. Hopefully they'll put the game on Google Play in the future. I'm trying out the game now!
Here's the title screen. The art is by a Korean artist, and the promotion video is in Japanese. Game is in Chinese.
After logging in, you choose your team name. You can randomize a name or input your own. This randomized name was "Bishie with Beautiful Hair" hahaha. I didn't use this name, but the names were pretty funny. In the end, I settled on Youthful Dragon.
Right away, Neo and Chasel are off fighting a dragon. We have the Pope as backup, and for some reason Elmairy and Demos are on the team too instead of their 37th gen teachers. Uh, I think it's Elmy and Demos. I had no idea what was going on. They fight the battles themselves, so I kind of just... watch. The dragon went down pretty quickly. (...does this mean I'm killing myself since I named the team "Youthful Dragon"...)
After that, Elmy and Demos left the team to go back to the Holy Temple, so I'm left with Neo, Chasel, and the Pope. Neo is level 25 while the other two are just level 1. Neo... are you too strong or what? A lot of stuff is still locked, like how I can only use three people on my team at the moment because my level isn't high enough.
Here's the formation screen where you can choose to put your fighters in the front row or back row. Healers like the Pope should of course go in the back row. XD

I quite like the individual character screens. The descriptions are amusing. :D Here's the Pope's. His skill is healing 1 party member, and he can also heal the entire party.
Here's Grisia's. His skill is healing one party member. He can also revive a party member once per battle. Description says, "The 38th Sun Knight, the leader of the Twelve Holy Knights; has golden hair, blue eyes, and pale skin; he is a legendary person who is an expert at spells and an idiot at swordsmanship."
Seems like you can also form different kinds of teams. First one is Teacher-Student. Second one is Good, Warm-Hearted Faction. Third one is Friend who are not Friends. I haven't gotten to use these yet. Not sure how to use them. Maybe I can only have these exact characters in the team. The descriptions are pretty funny here as well. XD
I wish there were more dialogue and story. The most story we get is the description included at the beginning of each fight/chapter. The story advances through LSK, starting with figuring out the death knight, then the deathmatch for the princess's hand, then finding the kidnapped princess. I'm currently in the Valley of Trizer which is V4 content, fighting enchanted puppets (they are killing me). This is a screenshot of V2, with the chapter called "The Injured Adair." :3 It's too bad the characters don't have dialogue for each part of the story. =/

I got some random girl called Abigail (who??) and then I put all the guys in the back because Abigail is level 50. :'D Oh, and the people we're fighting are Elijah and Jasmine.
The game is pretty cute (especially the descriptions), but the music is quite repetitive (it feels like there's only one song that keeps looping, and it doesn't even loop smoothly), and there's not much to do in battles. I wrote this post as they battled by themselves. :')
I'm starting to die now though, so I guess that means I need to upgrade people. Not sure how to play this, lol. I now have three of Chasel and three of the Pope, so I could even make a team just of Chasel or the Pope, lolol.
Yay, just got an Elijah. He's cute. Man, Chasel and Neo both just died, so I had to switch Chasel out for another healer. Now that I have Elijah, I'll stop using this random Abigail girl. I think I'm supposed to beat each battle before 30 turns. Maybe that's why I failed the current battle despite not being dead.
There are more than 30 pages of characters. I hope to get all of the 38th gen and the vice-captains, but I keep getting these random people. Got some random muscled knight (noooo)
So... verdict so far... Cute but repetitive and not enough story. Very thorough with characters. I think every single character you can think of is probably in this game, plus a few more random characters and monsters.
I just unlocked "Friends" and am randomly adding people, haha. It looks like I can evolve each of the characters, and their pics change. Will have to gather materials for that. Gah, I can't defeat a team of 5 Grisias who just keep healing and healing...
ETA: Still can't clear Grisia's level. XD I leveled up Aldrizzt and Elijah so far, so I have one mage and one defensive fighter. Gonna level up Elmairy next so I have an archer. I should probably level up Grisia as well so I have a healer. It got more fun after I unlocked the extra missions. XD
