A WILD NOBLESSE PRINT APPEARS, omg. (djfa;sdjfa;dfad) I went through artist alley again, and this time I saw this. I didn't notice it yesterday. XD (It's by
Hasuyawn!
Here's the print on Storenvy. I bought her
Fire Emblem Awakening print last year~)
(I saw Frankenstein first before everyone else. I can't help my eyes being drawn to blonds ahhhhh). I didn't take a good look at the print until I came home, and boy did it make me laugh. The things everyone is holding... RAI. THAT'S A BANANA. Frankenstein is totally posing with his glasses. Regis is all serious business with his duster. Takeo and M-21 are all ready with their pink gloves (and of course Tao is in the middle). Seira is busy with her frying pan. I'm super amused that only Tao and Frankenstein are smiling (or well, grinning/smirking). And it's really cool that Frankenstein and Rai are surrounded by all this white~~~
Dropped by Lavrentty's table again today (She was cosplaying Kaidou~~~) and she gave me some freebies. akljdfl;sadjf;sa; SO SWEET OF HER. Really cute bookmarks of Free! and Kuroko no Basuke. (Yay for sports!!! She was cosplaying Haikyuu the first day, hahaha). She also had these cell phone wiper cell phone straps... So nice! I haven't seen very many people make those here.
I got to the convention center much later on Day 3. Saw these two Log Horizon cosplayers on my way in!
:D
A Magi group!
Me and my terrible camera skills, OTL. A Frozen group. There were a lot of Frozen cosplayers this year. There was even a sailor uniform Elsa wandering around, hahaha, and some crossplays. And genderbent Elsa as well.
Prince of Tennis~~~~
Castle Crashers. I usually play as the green one. XD
A cute Nitori. XDDDD;;;
I left the Artist Alley to run to the Dealer's Room to see if I could find myself any wigs for future cosplays. I saw a lot of Haikyuu!! cosplayers around the convention (including Kageyama with a crown and cape~), but I never went up to them. Here's a cute Hinata and Kageyama that I passed by though!
I saw they had signs on their backs, hahahahaha.
DBZ!
Went to the Dealer's Room to find wigs, but no luck. They didn't have much in stock. They did have a nice short wig with a good style for Hinata (but not the right color). They'd just sold a blue one and was putting on a persimmon orange one as the display, and then they started chatting about how it was nearly the right color for a Haikyuu!! cosplay (man, Haikyuu cosplay must be popular, I hadn't even mentioned Haikyuu!! at all and they just started talking about it). Unfortunately they did not have any brighter orange wigs in stock. They didn't seem to have their ponytail wigs in stock either... /seriously considering buying a blond wig for cosplaying Sun
I saw that there was a sushi stand! For Tengu Sushi, a shop that's downtown in the city. It looked so good! But I was going to go to the AMV awards, so I thought I'd come back after that...
Went to Stage Zero to wait for the AMV awards. The fanimaids were putting on a dance show at the time. (These girls also work at the maid cafe). They were very coordinated~. Stage Zero is a stage that's right smack in the middle of the convention. It's open, so you can just wander over or stand off to the side to watch. There are some seats set up in front of the stage area.
The AMV awards started late. The best in drama (audience choice) made me baaaaawl. Guh. I couldn't even watch it. It was an AMV for Tokyo Magnitude 8.0. Here are some of the other videos.
AMV(&humor) - set to Total Eclipse of the Heart (Wolf Children). Best comedy (judge's choice). It was just funny how the video used the same scene... for the entire video...
A Piece of Toast (Judge's Choice for best experimental) - I found it amusing how so many series feature characters running with a piece of toast...
Anime 101 (Audience Choice for Best Comedy)
After the AMVs, I headed back the Dealer's to buy my sushi!!! I was starving.
There's this random Police Box by the bathroom and elevators. I wonder why it's there... Tried to get a pic, but there was always someone there (as you can see from the hand. He was gesturing at it, hahaha)
Iron Man.
kldjf;asdf;asdf This guy just stood outside of the Dealer's Room and kept posing like that, for like, forever. I heard from g2n later that she also saw him, hahahah. (He's posing like one of the Fanime characters!)
Saw
revenus and her sister in the Dealer's Room, yay!
Their friend was cosplaying maid!Nitori, lololol. She had all these rubber straps of Rin on her apron.
After I parted with them, I made my way over to Tengu Sushi for my much anticipated lunch... Only to find out they were all sold out. NOOOOOOoooooooo. I ended up having three smushed cookies for lunch. OTL
Back in the Artist Alley! Yay, Phoenix Wright cosplayers! Kay's key was awesome!
Yay, game 5!! I think there might've been a gathering? I didn't check. XD; I was cosplaying waitress!Maya.
After that, I left to go watch the Masquerade.
Here's a pic of the first floor.
Masquerade was really short! Around 40 entries, but several were short walk ons. There weren't any really, really impressive and elaborate skits. The most elaborate one was the Utapuri Maji Love 2000% one, where they danced quite nicely. XD;; They had the full cast. So colorful~. It was one of the first few skits, so I was tricked into thinking there would be more amazing skits following that! But nope... I actually liked the intermission the most, haha. XD; This one martial arts group has been putting on performances at each Fanime, and they always have a nice performance going on. This year, they performed to the Attack on Titan openings! And they wore cosplay from that. It was amazing seeing them with their swords, flips, and all those other cool moves. Armin was my favorite! At one point, Armin was doing drunk fighting, hahaha. When their performance ended, they did the hand over heart pose from the series~
There was, of course, "Let it Go" in the contest. I had a feeling it would show up. The Elsa cosplayer acted out "Let it Go," threw away her crown at the point that called for that, smoothed out her hair, and then her two helpers pulled off her dress to reveal her ice gown. XD;; The other Frozen skit had a gangster like Elsa complaining about her duties as a queen, and she fights this guy that kidnaps Anna. I thought there would be an Attack on Titan skit or a Free! skit, but nope. None of that. (well except for one Eren)
My other favorite skit aside from the Utapuri one was "Epic Rap Battle" featuring Eren (from Attack on Titan) and Edward (from Full Metal Alchemist) having a rap battle. Eren made fun of Ed for being short. Ed retaliated and said stuff like "you think you have it tough with your mom being eaten in the first episode? Well try my world" something like that. It was morbidly funny. And then Roy came on to rap in Ed's place, saying something like Eren could join his squad of mini-skirts (lol, that does look like a skirt) and then Eren said that he had the prettiest backup (I really thought it'd be Mikasa) but it turned out to be Levi. LOLOL. In his cleaning outfit.
In the end, both Eren and Ed were made to scrub the floor.
Anyway, I didn't stay for the awards. Left for dinner with
gem2niki and her friend Kissai.
And so ends Day 3! Only Day 4 left, which is a short (half) day. I might still cosplay... /undecided
I haven't been to a single panel outside of what Stage Zero put on... All the panels this year are in the Fairmont Hotel, which isn't connected to the convention center. It's quite a walk. Too far. ):
