Hm, I think I might actually update Fifteen Going on Sixty next. :O It might only take three chapters to finish this fic! (I will be so happy if that's true.) I do have a chapter of My Friend, the Pope (in-training) partially written, but I'm veering into spoilerish territory now... Perhaps I'll make that chapter a later one. A Vice-Captain's Tale might need to be put on hiatus while we're on this part of the translations. Then again, the main character in the fic is Tyler and not... Maybe it doesn't matter... :'D
I'm glad that it sounds like many people have not been spoiled about the story. Phew. But gosh, the reactions to the translations of LSK V6C10!!! The theories dumped on V6C9 were awesome. My favorite one was [Spoiler (click to open)]that Adair is the last demon king candidate. XD;; Best theory ever. (/maybe we need fic about this...)
I recently marathoned through the Log Horizon anime! \o\ It's amazing! The basic premise "seems" to be that they're stuck in a MMORPG, but they don't actually know if they're stuck in the game or if they've been transported to a world very similar to the game. Lots of game mechanics are involved though (this is a lot of fun), and the MC is such a strategist and schemer. It's so awesome to see him work. 8D I was going "hnnnnng" the entire time because it was truly like a good mix of 1/2 Prince (MMORPG) and LSK (Shiroe is an amazing schemer), and it really made me want to explore the ramifications of being stuck in their avatars even more for Invincible. Mamare Touno, the author of Log Horizon and Maoyuu, is truly very good at exploring the politics and economics side of things. You would think a series based on the trope of being stuck in a game would focus on 1) how they got stuck in the game 2) getting home, but nope, the series instead focuses on building a new society in their new reality and trying to figure out how to get along with the NPCs that were originally living there. After all, the adventurers (the players) that came later should really be considered the strange ones instead of the NPCs. I really loved the direction the series took. :D And I'm so enjoying how smart the series is. Like, seriously. Watching it made me think. XD And it was able to make an entire episode featuring a conversation around a table very, very engaging. So yeah. I have a lot of praises to sing about this series because wow, it is very relevant to my interests, and it delivered. XD;;
Too bad there doesn't seem to be very much fic for the series... I might have to write some of my own. Hopefully they will be oneshots...
